Psykers can be utilized by the Imperium, though in the Guard they looked upon with distrust and, often times, hatred. The Astartes Librarian is a psyker, so even the space marines use them. They can be utilized if they can be controlled, otherwise the black ships come for them, so that they may be fed to the Emperor.

Ten thousand psykers are sacrificed to the Golden throne to power the astronomicon, the beacon which is used to navigate through the warp -

Aye then there are the blanks (Forgot their proper name) that have no signature in the warp what so ever and their very presence is disturbing at best and damaging to daemons, in addition their presence nullifies psychic abilities.
There is a group in the inquisition that are gathering the most powerful of these blanks so that on the day the Emperors mortal shell finally give out despite the golden throne which is slowly going tit's up the blanks will ceremonially sacrifice the blanks to revive the star Child will be reborn by the blanks so the emperor will be revived not back to life as a child or withered old man but at his peek.
However the blanks can not be allowed to know this of the Emperor will through will alone refuse to be saved and will perish completely opening the way for the warp to flow into the material world and not even the dwindling race the Eldar will be able to stop them.

Wasn't the Pre heresy World eaters known as the wolf brother or am I thinking of the Sons of Horus?

The Sons of Horus(which later became the Black Legion) were the Luna Wolves, before a series of successful campains impressed the Emperor enough to allow the legion to be named after Horus.

The Primarch for the World Eaters was Angron, a former gladiator. He, along with several other Primarchs(both traitor and loyalist) have been, finally, immortalized in resin by Forge World(But still no Perturabo!!! Bastards!).
