[ as the video feed clicks on, there is a Nadeko, in the kimono and hairpin she was given for her birthday, in front of a mirror in her room. ]

Mm ...

Did you just feel like wearing it today, Sengogoku?

I don't have work, and tomorrow there is a cultural day at school, so I thought I would try it on to decide whether or not I want to wear it tomorrow ... And you did it again.

I stuttered. Hehe, Kazuma blushed a whole lot last time you wore it ~

[ she's blushing, but it's barely noticeable. ]

H-He did.

You should let him see you like this again. Oh, is he working today? Go pick him up at work in the kimono!

Wormmon! [ okay yeah definitely blushing. and then the feed cuts out. everyone, feel free to tease her. ]

Twice! Yes, I know everything.

[ more groaning. she's pressing her hands more against her ears. ]

Kazuma and Nadeko, sittin' in a tree ... and oh, it's his birthday! What better birthday present than-

Make it stooooooooooop ....

[ she is groaning and kinda sounds almost in pain. if there IS any pain, it's in her head, and it's because of these things, but other than that she's just suffering from being annoyed by them. ]

permissions post. | digital dive

OKAY, NOW THAT WE'VE ESTABLISHED THAT SENGOKU-CHAN CAN BREAK THE FOURTH WALL ...

I think there's need for a permissions post.

Nadeko, quite frankly, comes from a world where a lot of the canons that make up this digital world here are ... well, fictional.

So the rules are simple. Comment here to grant access or deny her of possibly knowing of your character's canon.

Here is one thing I promise Nadeko WON'T do. She will NOT make it blatantly obvious to your character that YOUR CHARACTER IS FICTIONAL. She's smart enough to know that saying "OMG I SAW YOU ON TV" would likely result in bad things and explosions. So if she makes any comments as to your canon, it'll be either [A] very. very. vague or [B] behind a locked strike. Or something. Whatever. Your character will not know that they are fictional due to Sengoku.

SO YEAH, COMMENT HERE AND LET IT BE KNOWN THAT NADEKO CAN OR CAN NOT KNOW YOUR CHARACTER'S CANON, PLEASE.

CLAMP (xxxHolic)

VOCALOID

Avatar: The Last Airbender (only the first season)

Pokemon

The Guardian Legend

Castlevania

Digimon Adventure / 02

Digimon Tamers

The World Ends With You

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (all seasons)

Shinkenger

Megaman Series

Shaman King

Star Wars

Mm, everyone ... ?

I know ... I know Doumeki-san proposed the idea of moving away from where all of the action is happening a little while ago ...

With everything I've been seeing recently over the networks, I really think we should do that. Leave here, go somewhere that might be safer ... I can't say I know too much detail of what's going on, but I have a bad feeling. There is definitely a lot of danger ...

I feel kind of sorry for those DATS people ... the people here seem to shoot them down when all they're trying to do is help people to safety ...

Others don't see things the way you do, Sengogoku.

I see that ... and you did it again.

I stuttered.

Nadeko is a major character of her own story arc, but for the series as a whole, she's relatively secondary.

Digimon partner-
Leafmon > Minomon > Wormmon > Coatlmon > Sandiramon > Lotusmon

D-Comm colours/symbol-
Orange, Pink, White; Symbol is a snake. Why? Because the mun's evil.

Imported from another RP?-
Nada!

Character appearance-

Character age-
It's not actually stated in the series what age she is. She's a middle schooler; I'm assuming she's a sixth grader, considering the time difference between when she first met the main character, and when she meets him again in the series. Therefore, I'm placing her at about thirteen or fourteen years old.

Character history-
Sengoku Nadeko first met Araragi Koyomi six years ago.

When Nadeko was in elementary school, she met and became friends with Araragi Tsukihi. She and Tsukihi's sister, Karen, often invited her over to play. The girls had an older brother, Koyomi, who was in sixth grade at the time, and sometimes played with them. Nadeko, who'd never had any older siblings, took to Koyomi as an older brother, and even asked if she could call him 'Koyomi-oniichan,' which he accepted.

Time passed, however. Nadeko ended up going to a different school, and didn't see Tsukihi and Karen as much anymore, much less Koyomi. The next time Nadeko would enounter her Koyomi-oniichan would be six years later.

There was a boy who'd started to develop feelings for Nadeko, but when he confessed those feelings for her, she rejected him. A friend of Nadeko, who didn't like that she'd rejected this boy, placed a curse on her out of spite.

The curse itself shouldn't have worked.

And, in fact, it wouldn't have, if Nadeko hadn't made it work without knowing it. When she was told she'd been cursed, Nadeko immediately started looking for rituals, and ways to remove the curse. She'd found a remedy that required finding a lot of snakes and killing them. Though she didn't like killing anything, much less snakes, Nadeko did as the remedy told her to, finding a shrine that was plentiful in snakes and killing them, then pinning their corpses to the sacred tree of the shrine. Shortly after she began doing this, however, she discovered that her skin was starting to become snakelike, and that it felt as if she was being squeezed. The pain continued to get worse every passing day, but she held it in and kept with the ritual.

It was as she was fleeing from the shrine one day after doing this ritual that she caught her first glimpse of her 'Koyomi-oniichan' in six years.

... but of course, she didn't exactly stop and stay to chat. She fled, and returned home. Koyomi, who had been running an errand for Oshino Meme, a man he owed plenty of favors to (along with his friend and his girlfriend's junior, Suruga Kanbaru), discovered the snakes when he'd gone to run that errand.

It was becoming obvious that the rituals she was performing weren't working to make the snakelike skin Nadeko had go away, so she returned to the bookstore the next day to look for other possible remedies. While there, she saw Koyomi with another of his classmates, a girl named Hanekawa Tsubasa, who was talking to Koyomi about setting boundries with his girlfriend. Nadeko witnessed Tsubasa getting very close with Koyomi (to set an example to him, but of course, she misperceived it), and she went straight to look at the books on curses. As Koyomi was leaving the store, he saw Nadeko leaving, too, and recognized her as the girl he'd seen the day before, along with being his other 'little sister.' He had an idea of where she was headed, and decided to intercept her as she went there that night. He called Kanbaru up and asked her to help, and they interepted her while she was performing the ritual again.

Koyomi wanted to know what was going on, and why she was doing this, so he invited Nadeko and Kanbaru back to his house. He asked Nadeko first if she wanted to wait for his sisters so she could see them again, but she simply nodded, and they all went into his room. After giggling a little at Kanbaru and Koyomi's bickering, Nadeko asked if the two of them would turn around. They complied, and she removed everything but a pair of bloomers that had been lent to her by Kanbaru when she told them briefly what was going on. She covered her chest, and then said they could look.

When the two of them turned around, there was a brief moment of awkward before the two of them saw the problem with Nadeko's skin. Nadeko started to cry a little, stating that she hated her body, and telling them why it was that way. Koyomi said that he would find a way to help her, and asked Kanbaru to stay with Nadeko while he went to consult the man who had helped him once before, Oshino Meme.

Meme heard the story, and was able to pinpoint what was wrong, and why it had happened; the shrine where Nadeko was performing the 'ritual,' by all means, would not have done anything to make the curse work. Unforunately, the presence of a vampire girl named Shinobu, who Meme had in his care, had caused the spirits and everything in that shrine to go haywire; that was what made the curse work. When Nadeko started doing her rituals to remove the curse at that shrine, she had caused the spirits to actually take notice, and thus, she caused it without realizing it. There was a way to remove the snake constrictor, but it had to be done that night. If the snake moved to Nadeko's neck, it would suffocate her, and she would die.

Koyomi returned with the news, and asked if Nadeko could stay the night. She said she could, and she called her parents to let them know she was staying at a friend's house for the night. That night, the three of them returned to the shrine.

Kanbaru allowed Nadeko to borrow a swimsuit, since it showed just enough skin to let Koyomi and Kanbaru know if the snakeskin Nadeko had was disappearing. They placed a blanket in the middle of the shrine's courtyard, and gave Nadeko a charm to hold while she prayed. Nadeko didn't know what to pray to, if there were any specific gods or whatnot to pray to, but Koyomi assured her that if she just prayed to whatever she felt like, the charm would take effect. Nadeko asked for Koyomi to watch her as she prayed, and she got to work with it.

At first, it looked as though the ritual was working; it pained Nadeko, but she held tough, and the snake slowly began to remove itself from her body. But it was just as things were looking good that she cried out in more pain than she had previously; there was another snake, and it was making it's way up toward Nadeko's neck to suffocate her. It was then that Koyomi realized that Nadeko's friend wasn't the only one to curse her; the boy she'd rejected also had tried to place a curse on her, out of spite, and this meant there was more than one snake that could kill Nadeko.

Despite being warned that if he touched the snake, it could try to constrict him, Koyomi wasn't about to allow the girl who deemed him 'big brother' be killed like that. He rushed forward, and tried to grab the snake, which caused it to let go of her, and fly off. Koyomi was making enough of a commotion that the snake stuck around, ready to strike when it deemed it necessary; Koyomi had also been told that, should the curse be interrupted and released, not dispelled, the curse would return to the one who placed it, and instead work at harming them. Koyomi, who didn't want that to happen, either, tried to dispel it, but in the end, Kanbaru had to tackle him to the ground and force him to remain calm so the snake would go away.

Nadeko was saved ... but the second snake would return to the one who'd placed the curse. In this case, the boy Nadeko had rejected.

When Nadeko recovered, she thanked Koyomi for all he had done for her.

The next day, Nadeko waited for both Kanbaru and Koyomi to arrive so that she could thank them once more. Kanbaru, however, was running so quickly that Nadeko couldn't catch her. When Koyomi came around, however, she managed to catch him, and talk with him a little bit, thanking him once more for helping her, and conversing a little bit about the situation. Toward the tail end of their conversation, though, Tsubasa came along and noticed the two. Nadeko, recognizing her as the girl she'd seen in the bookstore with Koyomi, immediately assumed that she was his girlfriend and immediately became shy, apologizing and rushing off at first chance.

A day later, Nadeko received a call from Koyomi, stating that Shinobu, a little vampire girl who'd been under Oshino's care for some time, had run off. Koyomi needed Shinobu to be found, not only due to his own responsibilities regarding her, but to help out a friend of his with her problem. Nadeko agreed to look around the city for Shinobu, and headed out.

It was while she was looking for Shinobu that she fell and hit her head.

Hard.

Hard enough to knock her out for a good, long, while.

When she awoke, she wasn't anywhere she recognized anymore.

Character personality-
There are some things that can be seen about Nadeko right off the bat. For one, she's very soft-spoken. This doesn't necessarily mean she's shy, per se, but this also doesn't necessarily mean she's totally outgoing, either. She can be shy. She's often perceived as such. But she's learned how to make friends since her time as a little itty bitty grade schooler, and she has an easier time now, despite still maintaining that softspoken personality of hers. She's also very easily amused. She'll giggle at simple things, she'll giggle at stupid things, she'll giggle at lots and lots of things. She's a sweet girl, and that's also pretty obvious right from the get-go.

Another thing that can be noted about her, though it's not totally noticeable from the start, is that she's a very strong little girl. She can be in pain, but she can will herself to hold it inside, whether the pain be physical or emotional. Moreso on a physical level, though. Put simply, she can take a lot of shit. BUT, even though she's pretty tough, she's only human. She does cry. She does feel. And she does face the trials and tribulations of teenage girls. Which, might I add, can be pretty darn emotional.

Aside from those major qualities, there are a few minor ones that also make up little miss Sengoku Nadeko. For one, she's flustered by some of the weirdest things. For example, the girl is willing to take her clothes off and show a teenage boy and a teenage lesbian girl the snakeskin on her body (not without a lot of blushing, but she didn't run off or anything), and yet she's flustered at seeing and being introduced to a girl who she thinks is her 'older brother's' girlfriend. What the hell, sweetie. Seriously. What the hell.

Nadeko also claims in-series to be 'sensitive,' in the way that she can feel the difference between how a person sees people. I'm going to take this to mean that she's somewhat empathic, as well, and sensitive to other people's heavy feelings ... though I do believe she's probably pretty slow in a few areas, mostly concerning herself. :P

She also has a tendency to make random references to other animes and other pop-culture things. She finds this sort of thing highly amusing.

Digimon personality-
In the series of Bakemonogatari, there's a little wandering spirit named Hachikuji Mayoi. Wormmon isn't her.

But Wormmon is a lot LIKE her.

That being said, Wormmon is a child who has a tendency to be a little perverted, a little slow, and "stutters" a lot. As in, she pronounces people's names completely wrong. Whether Wormmon does this intentionally or not is a mystery; she claims she 'stutters', but we're not quite sure yet if we believe her.

Wormmon likes to have fun, and likes to play around, as any normal child does. She makes friends relatively easily, and is overall pretty darn cheerful. But when it comes right down to it, she's really no pushover in a fight; she's fought against bigger digimon and stood her ground before, but of course, was ultimately beaten due to her size and abilities as a Wormmon. So yes, the prospect of having a Tamer excites her. She'll be able to actually, you know, get stronger. Beat the bigger digimon if she needs to.

Character abilities-
Nadeko doesn't have anything of note, really, other than being pretty tolerant of physical pain and making references to random other animes.

* As for the reference making, this may count as fourth wall breaking, in a way. I can't exactly list all of the animes she knows in canon (because she only makes one reference to an anime in canon, and it's not a very well-known one), but I can say that she wouldn't name the series by name. She's more prone to make a reference that's well-known in the series itself, more likely for 'wtf' factor than anything else. I'm willing to do whatever is needed to make this work out as smoothly as possible.

Sample RP-
Her vision was blurry. The world was spinning, and her vision was very, very blurry. Those were the first things she noticed when she started to wake up. Nadeko groaned a little, placing a hand to her head and pushing herself up off the ground, opening her eyes.

She was met with spinning.

She closed her eyes again.

That fall must have given her a concussion ...

She tried again, opening her eyes slowly and allowing them to focus for a few moments before taking a look around. Okay. In a forest.

... Wait, a forest?!

This wasn't right. There were no forests around, except for the shrine and maybe, maybe a few other areas, but she can't have walked that far.

"Koyomi ... -oniichan?" She asked softly, fear settling into her as she looked around some more, eventually pushing herself to a standing position.

But then, that made the world spin again, so she sat down.

"You look lost!"

The sudden voice startled Nadeko, and she looked around quickly for the source; too quickly. The pain in her head told her that.

"Ah, Ah, don't do that, it'll hurt! Right? Doesn't it hurt?"

Nadeko nodded slowly, eyes shut tightly in pain. She relaxed shortly after, though, and opened her eyes again, to see ... an oversized worm.

Yes. An oversized worm.

Obviously, she must have been having one very trippy dream.

"What's your name?" The worm asked. Out of shock, Nadeko didn't know what else to do but answer.

"S-Sengoku Nadeko ..."

"Sengokuku! All right!"

"You added too many 'ku' .."

"I stuttered."

Awkward silence.

Nadeko looked around again.

"Does this mean I have to catch them all ..?" She asked, quietly.

Wormmon found it fit to stare at the girl.

Sample journal entry-
I've punched in Koyomi-oniichan's number, and nothing ... no dial tone, no ringing, nothing. What is this cell phone? Is it a pokedex?

Noooo! It's your D-Comm!

D-Comm?

...

Oh, so I'm in the digital world?

Yes indeed, Sengogoku!

E-Eh?! That was a joke! And you added too many 'go' ...

I'm not joking! I stuttered.

But that ... t-that can't be right! You did that on purpose ...

De-ji-ta-ru~! De-ji-ta-ru! No, I stuttered.

But this-! This is-!! So weird ...
