September 28: Leland Jr.'s Owl. Stanford University's Cantor Museum has a Stanford family display. This is the university's namesake's favorite owl.

September 30: Getting newsletter-y.
Spent some time tonight creating first draft of a newsletter for the AVID program at my work. Me + InDesign = crafty.

I need to get my new jeans shortened. Who's going to do it now that my mama's gone? I've taken pants to a tailor before and even hemmed a few of my own, but it was always a tradition for my mom to do them most of the time -- even though I'm 37. :-/

I spent part of my evening making a banner out of felt for the publication classes at work. Gotta love it: tracing, cutting, sewing.

September 2: on the road again

September 2: After having napped through the start time of my yoga class, I took to the streets again. I haven't run in a little while, what with being with my mom most of the summer while she was in the hospital (with inherent summer cold from the germs there)... so it was good to go again. My left knee, which has been bothering me gave me some issues -- it feels like there's a Lego piece loose in there. After going slow for a while, it worked itself out so it didn't hurt and was less noticeable.
