It’s Launch Week at SmallStack!!

After barely four months since the start of SmallStack, the moment we have all been waiting for has arrived. This is it! We are live! You can read more about Launch Week and the Library below, but you can also skip off to go visit our brand new Library and peruse its shelves right now. No biggie, we’ll wait for you to come back.

Show me the Library!

1,878 of our community members submitted their information through our form to get listed in the SmallStack Library. It was truly an overwhelming number of submissions! What we didn’t know when we started was that our original form wasn’t capturing all of the best information for how we would eventually want to use the Library, so we’ve been busy designing a way to display that data in a form that can be navigated by our community (that’s you!). And we are so excited to share the first 430 listings for Launch Week!

On Tuesday, September 24, we’ll be hosting an Open House on our SmallTalk thread for you to bring your questions and comments about our Library. We’re looking forward to hearing what you think about this cool new space. We’ll also be available to help you learn about how to use the Library to find new stacks to subscribe to!

And if all of that wasn’t enough, we’re also dropping a brief how-to video to help you navigate the Library. This isn’t the same format that other list-stacks have used, and there may be a bit of a learning curve to feel comfortable. Don’t worry—we’ve got your stack!

What if I don’t see my publication listed? Don’t worry, it’s on the way! It took a lot of work to get the first 430 listings published by Launch Week, and we can’t wait to share more with you soon. Future releases of Library listings will be published on a rolling basis until we have most of our submissions processed. Along the way we will implement some changes to the Library, and your feedback helps guide that process.

What if my listing doesn’t look quite right? We’re creating a new form for you to amend your listing if anything about it doesn’t look correct or has changed since you first submitted your information. Stay tuned for more.

What about new listings? We’re currently hard at work on a revised form for new publications to get listed in the Library. Once this form is delivering great results, we will go live with it for everyone.

Featured Posts are happening all week

During each day of Launch Week we will host a new Featured Post by one of our Library listed publications. Think of Featured Posts like a carefully curated selection of Staff Favorites. Publications with 500 or fewer subscribers are eligible to be Featured Posts on SmallStack. If your publication is featured you’ll get a cool badge to display on your site so that everyone knows you’re a 2024 SmallStack Featured Publication!

Once Launch Week comes to an end, we’ll be hosting Featured Post Fridays every week. Our first regularly scheduled Featured Post is already set for October 4th. That means we’ll be sharing at least 52 Featured Publications with you every single year!
