Today's ferry ride

Ferry ride was Awesome! Jeff and Sue & Nemo were able to make it to the ferry ride. Beach combing in Kingston was awesome and Sue found several vertebrae - non human .... we think ;-) on the beach. The ultimate .... Lavender Honey Ice Cream which we finished on the ride back to Edmonds while the sun finished setting. Nom Nom Nom ... Ahhhh Yeah! Doesn't get much better than that.

Ferry Riding Time!!!

Ferry ride tomorrow (Sunday) The ferry will leave Edmonds at noon (aka 12:00p). The plan is to walk on (you can drive if you prefer). Once on the other side (Kingston), beach combing - looking for kewl rocks/shells and the like, and possibly grabbing some lunch ... there is a great Bar & Grill right near there - and yes, kids are allowed in.

Come join us! Should be loads of fun. (and dress for warmth)

Hey Everyone...

This is a co-worker of mine’s daughter – Toyah, around 35 and has been a sickle cell patient since she was 14. Her mom is an amazing woman and her family had dedicated their lives to help Toyah. Her mother has given her a kidney and so did her sister. She also had a doner from a 70 or 80 year old man who had passed. I wanted to give her my kidney and was ready to do it. However, the nurse said because I have high blood pressure I could not qualify.

Toyah is a wonderful woman. Never been married and has hardly been able to live life. Yet she stays incredibly positive and everyday finds something to smile about. She is in constant pain and in and out of the hospital all the time. I have been praying that she will have a new lease on life. If you or anyone else you know would offer the gift of life PLEASE call that number!!!

I love all of you and thanks for reading this. If you want to ask me anything about the family I would be happy to answer.

Good Morning Everyone,

I am asking for every ones help for Toyah, the doctors have told her that she needs to be off dialysis and it has been harder to find her a kidney because of the antibodies in her system from prior transplant but if she can find a living donor who matches her tissue and blood type than they would have the time to remove the antibodies before transplanting her again.

If you know anyone who might consider being tested and be a donor if they match, please have them call Sarah at 817-250-2443. She is a transplant coordinator at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. The individual can live anywhere in the United Sates and would be tested in his or her community if accepted as a viable candidate. I have had only one kidney since 1989 and I have not had any problems.

I would not make this please if it were not imperative, Toyah is not doing well on dialysis and a transplant is her only option. Please continue to pray for us, your help is needed and appreciated. Thank you
