SkypeMate is the Windows driver for the USB phone or adapter. It must be installed and running to allow the keypad work with Skype.
You can adjust the speaker and microphone settings of the phone in SkypeMate's control window.

The most recent version is 6.0.0.3 which was released in June, 2014.
Only the version 3.0.1.33 of SkypeMate for equipment B2K (Telbox), runs perfectly. Other versions of SkypeMate not run the B2K (Telbox).
