A few minutes ago I decided I was gonna decoupage my room. This wallpaper is hideous and it's been here since way before I lived here. It'd be too costly to take it down, and even more to put more back up, so I decided decoupage was a good idea!

For those of you who don't know what decoupage is, it's the funnest thing ever. It's kinda like papier mache on a flat surface, except with colorful pieces of paper in overlapping layers, lol. Or something.

But before I do that, I have a lot of things to figure out.
What should I use? Comic paper? Colored paper? Magazine clippings? Or a combination of all three?
How colorful do I want it to be? Do I want the whole room one color, or do I want each wall one main color (like, all blue shades on one wall, all red/pink on another...)? Also, which colors should I use, if each wall is a different color?
Should I arrange it into a gradient effect, like dark blue at the top fading to light blue? Or could I do it rainbow colored, with each color fading into the next all around the room?
Should the paper be in random rippy bits (like when you use tissue paper) or should they all be in shapes, like hearts/stars/circles?
Would it be too much to do the ceiling? (On second thought, let's leave the ceiling for last, just in case I don't wanna go that far).

I think I'll stop by the craft store to ask them which type of glue would be sturdy enough to stick on wallpaper.

Just two seconds ago I decided against decoupaging any of my k-pop posters to my wall. I like to rearrange those anyway, and decoupage would make it permanent. Nothnx.
Hmm, I think I'm gonna go to Gimp and see if I can work this out...

Saturday Night Shenanigans!

Saturday was my cousin Coco's senior prom~! My baby is growing up, I don't know if I can deal with this! She's three years younger than me, but we've always been mashed together since we were little. If one of us is up to no good, the other is usually involved. XD We solemnly swear we are up to no good!

I went over early Saturday...well, not as early as I intended, because I had to de-hair myself, looked like freakin' Sasquatch! So I arrived in time to fix their (Coco, and her/our friend Monie, who was also going to the prom) corsages and help get her ready. Everyone was asking if she had a date, and she told them, "These days, it's different." You go to the prom with you friends, meet the boys up there, dance, and then when you're ready to go, you don't have to wait on your date~! You're free to tear up the town without a man clinging to your arm. XD

She looked so beautiful! Ashlie had done her makeup before I arrived (she actually went to school for that, so she's pro). Shelby, our ~~cousin~~ house-elf, was our chauffer for the evening. I stayed at her house, lurked around until Ashlie called me. I went over to Ash's house to get my makeup done, and see if she could do anything about my eyebrows. She razored and plucked me. XD TBH, it wasn't that bad, about as painful as the first time I got waxed...every time she pulled a hair out! OHGOD! But the results were nice. While she was doing my makeup, Chase did his best to ruin everything in sight! By that time, Coco and Monie called to be picked up. So we swung by the store, grabbed a little something to "drink" for later, and then went to pick them up.

They had a wonderful time at prom, as far as I can tell. So we all went back to Coco's house to get ready for the club! At this point, Shelby had already been up since the crack of dawn, and by then it was nearly 1AM. His day was far from over, bless him~ All the clubs close around 3AM, so we rolled out, looking niiiiice.

I had trouble finding a club that would allow them, but Kesi (Baby Dot's mom) tipped us off~! We stopped by Checkers for some fries, because you can't shake your booty on a empty stomach! There were two choices, "Club Bankhead", and "Club Crucial". They weren't hard to find because they were almost right next to each other. Club Bankhead looked shady as fuck, so we went to the other one...which we found out was equally as shady. It just looks nice from the outside. Our house-elf had to pay for parking, and when we asked the parking attendant how much the club costs, he says, "It's free all night!" Then takes our money. We get up there...no, not free all night. FML. $10 for 21+, $15 for the other two. It was terrible inside. The club was freaking tiny! People were just blatantly smoking weed EVERYWHERE! I saw this bitch light a doobie right in front of me! And the music was terrible. They didn't play any, like, dance-type rap, they just played hard rap that nobody could dance too. IDK much about rap music, but even Coco and Monie agreed that it was terrible. We spend the remainder of our time trying to find a corner that didn't have smoke in it, to no avail. After we couldn't stand it anymore, we got the hell out of there, with our eyes red and scratchy, and our lungs burning. We were furious, and possibly second-hand high. Apparently, the club is owned by the rapper T.I. or something, so maybe he needs to step up his- oh wait, I think he's still in jail. Oh. XD

Determined to turn this night around, we decide to go to IHOP! So we hop in the car, and I use the MapQuest feature on my phone to get us there, nearly 6 miles away. It's pretty nifty, because it talks to you the whole way, and you get a 3D map of your little car scooting down the road. We get to the IHOP...and it's closed! All of us were pretty certain that IHOP was synonymous with "open 24 hours". So we're all like, FUCK FUCK FUCK! Deciding that we had come too far to quit now, and with the promise of pancakes in our near future, we look up the next closest IHOP, which is about another 6 miles away. It's somewhere between 3AM and 4AM, so we keep going. A long while later, my GPS thingy is taking us through a residential neighborhood, talking to us all the way, in a woman's voice we dubbed "Susan" for some reason (IDK, it was the house-elf's idea). The GPS announces when you've reached your destination. "Your destination is on your left." No, it wasn't. We were sure Susan had led us out here to die/be killed/starve to death. We were in the middle of the street, staring at someone's house in the suburbs, willing it to turn into an International House of Pancakes. "If we ring the doorbell, do you think they'll make us breakfast?" I ask, getting desperate. And we're all like, "Dammit Susan! You got us lost! Susan, whyyyy!?" No, but really, we love Susan, she actually got us home alive.

We had to get back to the main road, and when we did, we tried to find something that was still open, so we could ask for directions. It was around 4AM, so nearly everything was already closed...except for the 24 hour sex shop. XD We were still dressed for the club, in 3-4in heels, so I'm not sure if we could've been mistaken for hoes. Classy hoes, though. And Shelby, the only guy, as our pimp-ohgawd! We walked in and asked for directions. The girls, in all their youthful innocence (yeah right) wanted to stay and look around, as they had never been in a sex shop. I promised to bring them back, as a graduation present, if we survived the night. With directions from the sex shop clerk who tried to hit on Coco and all her sexiness, we finally made it to the IHOP! And it was open! Never has victory tasted so sweet. By the end of the night, we didn't have much, so we pooled what we had together and each got something good. Monie had Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Shelby had the Grand Slam, Coco had a burger, and I had the Stuffed French Toast! To be honest, I think we would have had more fun if we'd just gone to IHOP in the first place. We had an awesome time in the car there and back, with us harassing Shelby, and him threatening to drive us in a ditch.

We arrived home, with Susan's aid, around 5:30AM. Too tired, full, and happy to do anything else, we wiped the make up off and went to bed.

Possibly a Merry Christmas, perhaps a Happy New Year too...

So Tuesday is the only day I have off, so I have to cram all my Christmas shopping into one day. Ha ha aheehehehehe...yeah. I don't think I'm going to get any sleep for like a full 24 hours. RED BULL AND COLA!

I was going to try to make cards this year, but you know how that goes~I get halfway in and I get either lazy or busy with something else. They never turn out the way I want them to anyway. I have like, this epic idea in my head, and I go into it like, "OH YEAH GONNA BE AWESOME!~" and then they're not quite what I imagined when I get done. So I just bought cute cards. Which probably won't get out until after Christmas anyway...better late than never. :D If I already have your address, you're probably getting a card/candy/bauble/etc. sometime within the next year. If I don't have your address and you'd like one, send it whenever!

Mina and Meri sent me a card like forever ago and I've been trying to send them one back ever since. XD I fail. I'm going to send something for Mina's baby though~ ^__^v
...except that I still fail. He will be three years old and I'll finally get around to sending a baby hat. XD Lemme get on that.

So me and a friend were thinking about going out for New Years, because my sister in law had talked about taking me out once she got down here. She's not coming (thanks to my brother being an asshole~), but we're still thinking of going out. If we can figure out where to go. I'm not a very social person, so I don't know what normal people do for New Years. I usually stay home and get slightly inebriated, then go to bed.
My friend suggested, "Atlantic Station~!" like that was the answer to all prayers. But we want to get cute and dress up so we can go out, and we can't just stagger around Atlantic Station in heels...we'll look like hookers. We need a home base. I'd like to remind you all again that Atlantic Station is where I missed Koda Kumi film her music video a bajillion years ago. T__T
So I looked around the webbie, and found the Geisha House, which is a sushi bar restaurant lounge thingy. So I guess that'll do unless anyone else has any ideas of anywhere fun I can go on New Years? That isn't a club? ;D

Class Act!

So Chase's first birthday party was on Nov. 14!
Speaking of Chase, he was over here the day before yesterday, and he was sooo excited about Audrey. I can't say Audrey was too excited, more like freaked out. We're a very quiet family in a very quiet house, so she's not used to a whole lot of hoopla. Well, he's only a year old, and he doesn't know anything about "inside voices" yet. So every time she moved, he was shrieking and babbling excitedly to her. Then he found her ball, and he kept saying "BALL! BALL!" while trying to throw it to her. It was the cutest thing.

Oh, back to the party. It was great~mostly. Ok, so there were invitations sent out asking everyone to RSVP. We don't normally send invitations for our functions, but we do call and tell if we're going to show up or be like, "Hey Auntie, I'm bringing a friend, cook up a little extra." This is so that everyone is provided for and has a good time.

Chase's mom (my cousin Ashlie) lives in a very tiny apartment with her mother. Which is perfect for them, and it has just enough room for them to entertain a few friends/family members. But Chase's dad's side of the family showed up, a bunch of them, with like a hundred kids, without RSVP-ing, and NONE of them bothered to bring a gift for the child. So when we arrived, the little apartment was packed to the brim with people. All of Chase's dad's people situated themselves on one side of the apartment, separate from the rest of us. I tried to go around to take pictures of the guests, and the majority of them declined. When it was time to eat, they all dug in, and my aunt did her best to make sure everyone got something to eat, even though there wasn't much to go around, because she didn't know that many people would be showing up. They stayed long enough to sing Happy Birthday to him and grab some cake and ice cream. Then they left, without even seeing him open his gifts. D: So classy...

I don't even know if my cat is actually a cat! :O Most likely she's part rabbit, part meerkat, and part dog.

Rabbit: She occasionally hops from place to place, and she is really fast.
Meerkat: When she hears something, she'll stand up on her hind legs to listen and investigate.
Dog: She follows me around, begs for food, and she chases her tail.
But I know there has to be some cat in there somewhere, because she only does things to annoy us (like climbing the Christmas tree, which I still haven't been able to decorate), and she doesn't listen at all, lol.

I'm still trying to find out if her being here is great timing, or really shitty timing. Cause, well, if you look at it one way, it almost seems like she's Tony's replacement. (.__. ) But on the other hand, she's really helping us cope with a difficult situation. My mom is a tough cookie, she never ever cries. I never cry where anyone can see me. Yet we both wind up breaking down together every time Tony is mentioned.

My mom came up to me the other day and told me how much calmness and joy Audrey has brought into her life, and how relaxed she feels by watching her play. I'm really glad she's here.
~~I try my best not to think about the fact that she's also gonna die in the next 15-20 years. T__T~~

So I went over to Tiffy's house to pick a kitten. Momo (mama cat) greeted me at the door. I played with them a little bit, to maybe see which one would be more comfortable with me. I picked up one, and I think I felt a peenie-weenie~really wanted a girl, so I picked the one that squirmed least when I held it, and decided it would be the one for me. Somehow, it just felt right. (She's under my bed as we speak, sniffing my sneakers, lol. NO, playing with my sneakers! XD).

So I had a blankie and some snacks for her that I brought along. I wrapped her in the blanket, and Tiffy told Momo to say goodbye. Momo was like, "I don't curr~w/e". As soon I step out the door, the kitty starts to whine a little. I comfort her and try to talk softly to her. I had to walk all the way home, which is five minutes alone, ten minutes with a scaredy cat trying to climb your hoodie and get away. She held onto me for dear life, and I held onto her for dear life. I didn't want her to freak out too much and escape into traffic. Every time a car went by she flipped. Then as soon as I got her calmed down, another car would pass by. Then we had to pass under an expressway overpass and it was just insane. Then the wind starts blowing into both our faces and FFFFFFFFFFFF~ ugh.

So, we finally got home and my mom opened the door for me and she's all like (*o*) at the kitty. I get her back to my room, and I open a can of food to feed her (it's Friskies for now because that's what Tiffy's been feeding her, but it's just until I can get her adjusted to the good quality kitty fud! dumbhyun gave me good tips on kitty food.) My mom follows me in to coo and aaah at the kitty. Then she runs off to get a spoon for the food. That's when I start tearing up. By the time she gets back with the spoon, I'm totally bawling my eyes out, and the cat's not even crying at all, lol! I just felt so terrible about taking her away from her mother, and she looks so frightened and scared. She must be absolutely horrified about having to live with some stranger bitch for the rest of her life. (LOL, yeah, so horrified that she's napping under the edge of my bed right now XD)

So she eats her fill, and then I let her explore the room as she pleases. Then I pick her up and show her where the litter box is. Placed her in the litter box. She scratches around in it for a sec, then hops out. I hope she remembers where it is. After that, she found a place by my dresser to doze off, so I turned off the light because I was worried it would be too bright for nappy time. My mother, eager to be helpful, barges in with a pillow for her to sleep on and wakes her up. So she wakes up, explores a little more eagerly, and now she's found a place under my bed to nap. I'm excited, happy, scared and worried all at the same time. I guess she's okay for now, she hasn't whined at all since we stepped in the house.

I decided to name her Audrey Noel Gardner.
She's so still when she's sleeping, is that normal? D: When I touch her to check she wakes up, but she's so still. Can cats die of fright?

I have the mega-flu and I'm on my period, so if you're wondering why this isn't a coherent entry...yeah. So sorry. XD

I just went back and listened to Taebin's album and I've realized how much k-pop has changed.

I should be bringing my kitty home this thursday, since it's the only time I'll be able to do so. I'm off Thurs/Fri, and that's when my dad works, so I'll be able to get her in here early Thursday morning, and just have her chillin' in here with me when he gets home. I want to see how long I can have her in here before he notices. That way, when he tries to lie about being allergic to cats (bitch please), I can be like, "She's been here all week. D:< Your argument is invalid." But mom has proof that whoever was here with him before the two of us moved in had a cat, because there was cat shampoo and a thing of kitty litter. So he's not allergic, he just hates me. And small animals. And...animals in general. And all people. And everything that isn't food. :|

My thoughts on the whole Homin as DBSK issue, copypasted from another comment:

I don't think it's fair that SME threw a bitchfit when JYJ accepted an award last year at the MAMA's on DBSK's behalf, saying, "OH, it's only just three of them, how can they represent TVXQ!?" But then turn around and say it's ok for Homin.

But at the same time, the five of them have put so much work and effort into that name, they have each earned the right that name with their sweat and tears. Oh, but at least I know how I got sick.
We went over this past weekend to pick up my cousins Khelsie (14) and Nick (12?) for the Light the Night Walk, and their younger brother Noah (2) was there, along with Chase WHO IS NOW WALKING LIKE A BOSS AT 11 MONTHS OLD. So proud of my bb~! Anyway, I came in to greet everyone and Noah came up to me. So I said, "Gimme a kiss!" And he did. Then he smeared his nose across my cheek and left a line of snot. D: I've been around children all my life and already know that they are nasty, disease-ridden little creatures, but I was not prepared for anything that gross. D:

Also found out that Chase doesn't like crowds/being crowded, even if it's a crowd of people he knows. We all came in at the same time, and he was fine, then he realized how many people were bunched into the kitchen and he started crying. So he cried and ran up to Noah, who is only two and not much bigger, and Noah's just like..."O__o? I can't pick you up dude!"

Chase's first birthday is next month, and I bought him the cutest book. Makes me cry a little bit, but I wonder if it's just a period thing. It's called "Puppy Too Small", and it's about this puppy who is too small to do certain things, but then someone will come along and say, "But you're the perfect size for doing this!" And it makes me cry a little because humans are the same way. We get so down on ourselves, thinking we're worthless and useless, and worry about all the things we can't do, instead of focusing on the things we can do.
XD It's a baby book, clearly I am putting too much thought into it.

Another thing that made me cry lately was reading the lyrics to 4Men's "I Can't" which is just an absolutely beautiful song. They could sing mournfully about beans and I'd tear up.

Also, OKCAT! What have they done to you!? T__T I don't even know how to feel about Taecyeon's hair. On the one hand, he's handsome enough that it might not matter, but on the other hand it's just plain hideous. That's what they made hats for, right? ;D

HELP!

Those of you with kitty experience *coughEMIcough*, I just wanted to ask how dangerous would it be for a cat to be separated from it's mother at 6 weeks? My friend whose cat had cats and is giving me one? Yeah, she's trying to get rid of them before the 8 weeks is up because they're "too much". *sigh* Should have seen this coming, she's not a cat person AT ALL, her parents are. So now she's saying she wants to get them out of there so they can clean that room before they go on their cruise, and I keep telling her that they have to be with their mother for at least 8 weeks. She's saying that they're eating soft food and I'm like "They have to learn to use the litter box too", then she turned around and said, "Oh, my mistake, they're using the litter box now! 8D" Which I don't know if it's a lie or not.
So, if she decides to dump my cat on me early, would it be safe? What else would I have to do? Would it still need milk?

I took these photos when they were about 4/5 weeks old.
These are the ones that I codenamed "Left-eye, Brownie, and Blinky" in that order. The two on left and right were the ones with crusty eyes. She (owner) wiped at them a few times a day until all the pus came out. I think they're alright, I haven't seen them since then.

This is "Sleepy", 'cause she sleeps all the time. I see how we could be a perfect match. XD

And this is "Friendly" since she's the friendliest. Very cute.

More fail than the Twitter Whale...

We were at Barnes and Noble today, just looking around. On our way out, I was helping my mom put back a book she was looking at. I was looking for the display the book was supposed to go on, but I didn't see it. My mom says, "Here, right here! Can't you see it?" I reply, "NO, because I'm blind! D:<" Of course, right as I'm saying this, a blind lady walks into the store with a friend. DX I hope she didn't think I was trying to be an asshole. D:

That's nothing compared to the harrowing journey that would await me...at Walmart.

Ok, so a friend of mine (who shall remain nameless, 'cause I ain't down with just putting other people's business out there) asked a huge favor of me. She was like, "Dude, I need a huge favor. I need you to get me a test." Sometimes things just don't click up there, so it took me a minute to figure out..."OH SHIT OH SHIT OSHIT! WTF DUDE?!" She's on birth control, but she was worried and just wanted to make sure.

So I said ok, fine. But we can't buy it at Target, they actually know me there. We went to Walmart. With my mother, because well, she drives and I don't. So we had to try to get away from her, buy it, and regroup, which was like pulling teeth. Mom finally got the hint, and she hung back near the Halloween Costumes with my friend. I went into ninja mode and scuttled over to the pharmacy. I tried to covertly search for them, but I went through every row and didn't see anything! I took a deep breath and tiptoed over to the pharmacy window.
"Excuse me," I whispered. "would you happen to know where the pregnancy tests are?" "It's not for me!" I added, a little louder.
"That's a good thing." The lady at the window said. "You're gonna go over to register 16 and ask there," she told me.
"Thank you."

I nearly fly over to register 16, looking back to make sure my mother doesn't see me.
I wait for the lady at the register to finish talking and look at me. I lean over closely and whisper "Would you happen to have pregnancy tests over here?" "It's not for me!" I add again in a panicked voice, even louder than before.
"Sure, which kind are you looking for?"
"I don't know, she didn't tell me!" I snapped, nearly at the end of my rope. "Just give me the cheapest one." I handed over the money and she puts it in a bag. I tie the bag up and put it in another bag and tie that one too. Then I shove it to the bottom of my purse. After I collected myself, I went to find the both of them and got the hell out of there.

I'm 21, why is buying a pregnancy test such a huge deal? To me, it's not such a huge deal that people actually have sex, because they've been doing it for thousands of years! But me having sex would be a huge deal. I just don't, and there are a million reasons why. I just found out that one of them is because I'm scared shitless at the thought of buying a pregnancy test or even condoms.

Don't know why it scares me either. It's not like those women know me. All they know is some kid (somewhere between 13-16, that's what people usually guess) came in to buy a pregnancy test. "She may or may not be a teen mother in the future. She might be up to no good. She might be promiscuous and irresponsible..." They don't actually know me, but I feel like that's what they'll think. And of course I care what people think of me. Everyone does, don't lie. If nobody cared what other people thought, we'd all be running around naked because nobody would give a fuck.

I still don't know why I had to buy it instead of her. I mean, it was her money and everything. UGH. If you're too ashamed to buy a pregnancy test, you probably shouldn't be fucking anyway. D:< But she's my friend and I love her~ she owes me big time!

I've been thinking about kitty names lately. I want to pick out a good name, because this cat will be stuck with it for a long time. Also, a sucky cat name will reflect badly on me, because I named it. I don't want people side-eyeing me because I named my cat Sheniquandra or something. That's too much for a cat. So, with certain rules in mind, I embark on a quest for a good kitty name!

Rules
1. No more than three syllables.
2. Can't be the name/nickname of someone I already know, to save me the awkwardness of "Oh, you named your cat after me? :D" or "You named your cat after me? >__>"
3. Easy to pronounce. Ugh, I've had a ~~weird~~ unique name all my life, can we not?
4. Easy to call, in case he/she gets lost. I don't want to be in public calling, "Come here, Dumbass! ^__^"

I was thinking of naming it Perry, after the platypus in Phineas and Ferb, just so I could go, "Hey, where's Perry?" LOL! My mom likes Soraya, which I suggested, but it means "Princess", which is the name of my dog that passed away a year ago, so whenever I hear it I'm like, ( ._.)
Stupid, I know.
For right now, they just have nicknames, and it looks like they're mostly girls. Friendly (most outgoing), Sleepy (sleeps forever), Brownie (is brownish-black), Left-eye (left eye is crusty), and Blinky (both eyes crusty).

Me and Bob suffered a setback~ XD
A few days ago he was refilling the bags while I was checking out a customer. He had to stand right next to me to do it, so I said, "Excuse me >:D...*push*" He pushes back, then I push him. Back and forth until the customer says, "Well, aren't you two cute! *___*" We immediately stop and look in opposite directions. Been sorta awkward ever since.

We were doing great! I'm still nervous around him, but I'm working on that. He came through my checkout line today and I could feel my cheeks burning. But my hands didn't shake! *thumbs up* I don't know if I've mentioned it, but me and Bob hug now! :D Not regularly, but every once in a while. I'm enough of a loser that I can remember the first time I was hugged by a boy I liked, and it just so happens to be the guy I was crushing on before him, way back in 12th grade. Also, I'm not sure I even want him to see my facebook yet. XD I mean, my rl and internet friends know I'm a dork, but just putting my facebook all out there for him to see is just letting the freak flag fly! But really, why should I worry about him thinking I'm a geek? Heck, he watches ANIME (too~). To some people, that's the very cutting-edge of geek. And he may or may not have hinted to playing with Pokemon cards sometime in the near past (high school). IDK, still trying to figure that one out.

Well my point is, people in glass houses should not hurl...LOTR figurines.

BUT 1TYM IS SUPPOSEDLY COMING BACK EVENTUALLY! No doubt I may have my first gray hairs by the time that happens, but you never know.

I didn't have internet for about a week (maybe less or more) so I'm still backtracking on LJ. @____@ Insane.

Oh, today I went to see Momo's kitties! 8D I didn't know how protective Momo would be, if she was gonna be like "8O DUN TOUCH MAH BABIES, GTFO!" or what, but she really didn't have a problem with it at all. She was walking around stretching her legs and the babies were all in a corner together.
Their eyes are open and they're squirmy and they roll around a lot. Tiffy warned me that one squeals really loudly when you pick it up, so she did and the kitty was like DNW! XD The rest were pretty chill about being ~~man~~handled. I tried to check the gender, but even though I looked at pictures beforehand, I had no idea what I was looking at! XD I guess we'll have to wait a few weeks.

I don't know if cats pick favorites, or if it's because he was the closest, but when I came back in to get my jacket she was cuddling one of them! *___* Then we went to a movie. After which she complained about Chris Brown dying in a movie...again. XD
If he wasn't such a shit actor, maybe they'd stop killing him off! >__>

OH! And guess what else!? I finally got a hug from BOB! \(^o^ )/ He feels really warm, like my mom.
Chase is walking now (more of a drunken stumble than an actual walk, but his mom is so excited about it), he's such a wild man! I saw him the day before Labor Day and he just latched on to me the whole time. He's such a silly baby, all he has to do is look at me, and he starts laughing. Maybe it's because I'm funny ~~looking~~ XD~?

So Momo just gave birth a few ~~minutes~~ hours ago. Not in the nice, cushy box that was provided for her, but under Tiffy's bed. I can't stop laughing about it. XD I mainly made this post so I could remember when the little critter was born. When I'm not in school, I become terrible with dates.

Baby Dot's 2nd birthday party is tomorrow. Her actual birthday is on the 31st/Sept. 1st, or something like that. She just finished potty training so they told me she needs undies. So I bought her some cute undies and socks and put them in a cute little tin lunchbox to match. Then on a whim today I bought her some books, so I guess I have to wrap those or something.

The party is at Chuck E. Cheese. XD NGL, I'm kinda excited.

So I'm getting a kitty. Maybe. If Momo doesn't eat them. Google told me some bs about mama kitties will sometimes eat baby kitties if you touch them when they come out. I guess it's because humans are tasty, and we're too big to eat, so when they smell that smell on the kitties, they're like "Bite-size hoomans! OMNOMNOM." Or w/e. PSH.

My friend was like, "Momo's pregnant." And I knew it was going to happen, because she was whoring around. She offered me one, and I just said, "Yeah sure, why not?" So then I asked Emi, "I R stoopid, wut du I doo?" and she told me just about everything I need to know. Then I bought this book from Think Geek, which is hilarious. It's basically a book about cat "maintenance", written like a computer manual. XD It kinda freaked me out, because there's a chapter which lists all the diseases and whatnot that a cat can possibly catch, like feline AIDS and CANCER! D:< But then I realized the same thing can happen to every human I know, so...w/e.

There's actually a vet right around the corner from our house ~convenient~, that I totally forgot about. I need to get around there to see what the fees are for shots, immunizations, spaying/neutering, ect.

We don't know anything about Momo's baby daddy (I bet she doesn't either, the whore~ XD) but Momo is a pretty good cat, very healthy and extremely friendly, so I'm hoping her offspring will be the same.

I need names. I thought about Sophie/Sophia, Liam, Leslie, June, and Noel. I don't want to set anything in stone, because I don't know what gender it will be, and I don't know what the cat might like. If it answers to Bacon, I'll go with that! XD So if you have any suggestions...8D I'm looking for something easy to pronounce that sounds okay with the last name "Gardner"...>__> Don't judge me. LOL

The book also made me realize that my room is practically a kitty deathtrap. I'm staring at a penny on the floor as I type! (Picked it up). Fortunately I have about a month or two to get things straight. She hasn't given birth yet, and I don't know how far along she is either. Then after that they have to stay with her for 6-8 weeks more. So I have time.

I told my mom, not asked, told her that I was going to adopt a cat. At first I thought she was just mildy indifferent, but she's actually very ok with the whole thing. The only thing I was concerned about was who would watch over the kitty while I'm at work/school, and she said, "No problem! 8D". She loves animals, the only thing she was worried about is how my stepdad would take it. And quite frankly, I couldn't give less of a fuck how he takes it. What's he gonna do, throw me out? PSH, he can't and won't. I won't say that he hates animals in particular, it's just that he hates everything...except maybe food. He probably hates his own damn self.

Anyway, he doesn't have to take care of the cat, he doesn't have to pay for anything cat-related, he doesn't even have to look at the little goober if he doesn't want to. If my mom says it's ok, then it's ok, end of story. Besides, until he can man up and take care of his shit, he can't tell me what to do about mine. He's already made it clear that he doesn't give a damn if we starve or not. I buy food for the family. He doesn't, he eats out or buys something that's only just enough for him. Then he comes in and tries to eat ALL of the food I just bought. "Oh, I didn't know, I thought you'd already eaten some~". Asswipe. Or he'll spend money stupidly and frivolously on something we don't need, and I'm left paying the remainder on some of the bills (it's either that or no water/lights/etc.). What do you mean curtain rods were on sale?! All of our curtains are already hanging up, dipshit!
If I could afford to move out I would.

I've been hanging out with my BFF Chase, so I decided to do a picspam of him, because he makes lolzy faces. He's better company than half the people I know in real life, lol. His mom calls him a little wild man, and she's right. He is a little wild, but nothing too difficult to handle.
When he was with me, I wasn't sure how he was doing on solids, so I tried to mash up a banana for him. Then Shelby said, "No, just break it off and give it to him." I handed him a third of the banana and he just kinda hulk-smashed it into his face, then it was gone. Didn't make a mess or anything, lol!

I might not be able to go to school this fall, either.

I just found out today...yesterday...that my application is inactive. I submitted one for the Spring 2010 semester, and I thought it would still be usable for this semester as well. Nope, it isn't. I would have had to submit another reactivation application for the fall semester, but the deadline was July 1, which I probably would have missed anyway with everything that's going on.

So now I have to call the admissions lady (I just emailed her too~), then hope and pray that there is something I can do about it.
It's not just that I really want to be in school, (I'm dying to go back) but I know I'll catch hell from a lot of people, especially my grandma, if I'm not in school this fall. There's just too much pressure on me right now.

There are too many people asking "When are you going back to school? Why aren't you in school?", things like that, when they don't have anything to do with it and they won't raise a finger to help. I am doing the best I can by myself, because nobody is reaching out a hand to help. That's fine, but bitching at me does not help the situation one bit.

My grandma is at the front of the crowd. She called me one day just to tell me my job ain't shit (like I don't already know that) and that I need to quit and go back to school so I could make her proud. How does she think I'm gonna pay for the student loans I had from when I was in school?! My mom is doing the best she can with everything else, she helps whenever she can, but she can't do everything. My stepdad, as always, is full of words, empty of action.

And anyway, I would have been able to make it down to my school to find this out sooner if my grandma wasn't bitching me out at the time about things for HER party! I haven't added up my receipts, but you won't believe how much money came out of my own pocket just so she could have a nice party. She sure wasn't whining about quitting my job when I was paying for everything for her party~ Then, on the day of the party, the only thing she could do was bitch about me being late! The previous day I came straight home from work and finished the centerpieces, without going to bed. The reason I was late was because I was finishing up the centerpieces, then I had to run to Target right before going to the party to buy a disposable helium tank for $20 that only fills 30 balloons.

Let's see:
50+ Invitations: Envelopes, paper, envelope seals, printer ink, glitter. Very time-consuming to glue the glitter on each one of these by hand (they look better in real life~ XD)
Decorations: Three different colors of balloons (purple, white silver), table cloths, streamers, centerpieces that I made from scratch (flowers, Styrofoam, small ceramic doves, seashells that I painted myself, extra glue sticks for glue gun), helium tank.
Party favors for all 50 of her guests - grow kit from Target which consists of a small ceramic pot with a seed packet and soil. Which was then wrapped in colored cellophane by me. All fifty of them. :|
Paid for all of this myself. Mom helped a little, but she had enough on her plate trying to help pay for the food, and this was very shortly after she came out of the hospital.

I did get a $1 thank you card in the end though, how nice. Then I had to go right back to work the next day.

There are plenty of us in this world, just doing the best we can. It seems like my best isn't ever enough.

Ok, I'm done, LOL! I feel better now.

I also went to H-Mart. This time, I actually bought stuff! And ate stuff!

First we bought our goodies. I found out today that H-Mart doesn't just sell Korean food, but other international goodies as well. I bought some chewies in apple and strawberry flavor that I assume must have been created in Croatia, because the back of the packages said a;lskdjf; k Zagreb asl;dkfjsd. I recognized it as the capital of Croatia immediately, because back in high school, when I was bored in class after finishing my work, I'd memorize the capitals of European countries. I feel like I am the queen of random facts and useless knowledge~ XD

I finally found the snack my Korean teacher gave to us: it's called 왕짱구 (King Jjangu), and it's this yummy, crunchy type snack. I'd almost liken it to a cereal or something.
Then there was strawberry pocky for Coco, Almond Pepero for me. Pepero is exactly like pocky, except it's made by Lotte and not Glico. XD
Bought new chopsticks too, since my dad seems to keep eating ours or some shit. IDK where they're going.

I bought some Korean vegetable pancake mix too...but I don't cook so I have to bribe mommy into doing it for me. It's not like American breakfast pancakes, but it's like...you put veggies in the batter and cook it. Most of you have seen Korean dramas, you know how it goes, lol.
I also got some Apple tea, vegetable buns, and kimchi. There were these &Carrot type drinks, so we each decided to try a different one. I got Apple and Carrot, and it was delectable!
I also bought red bean mochi, and it was not at all to my liking. D: It was mainly a texture thing, but overall it was just DNW.

After we bought all our stuff, we went to the food court to grab a bite to eat. They have four or five restaurants where you can order food and they give it to you in AN ACTUAL BOWL. They had Chinese, Sushi, Thai...I think, and Korean. I decided to try the bibimbab, and Coco ordered...I forgot what it was, but there were clear noodles and beef in soup. She wasn't really fond of hers, but I thought mine was pretty good.

Bibimbab is a mix of veggies and meat over rice. Maybe it's just me being American, but they could stand to put a bit more meat in it. I couldn't readily identify all of the veggies (I know there were some bean sprouts in there, though) and that made me realize that maybe I need to widen my vegetable horizons XD. They had a little bit of kimchi and a mini-bowl of soup on the side. I think I was supposed to pour the soup in, but I didn't really like the soup, especially when I hocked down a chunk of tofu. It was pretty gross. But the kimchi was good! Sal was right, it is cold, but my food was steaming hot so it evened out. You have to have really open-minded taste buds, because as I was eating it, I could see how the flavors could disagree with some people. On the first taste, my first thoughts were "What is this? This is strange, what are these flavors?!" Not in a good or a bad way, but it was just something I wasn't at all familiar with. Then by the second bite, I got used to the strangeness on my tongue.

I bought some at the store so I could have at home. Kimchi with ramen...uh, excuse me, ramyeon XD...is really freaking good. Goes great with meat, too. Coco likes it, but wants me to buy the spicier one next time. D8

Avatar, the movie...LMFAO!

I hope I can stop laughing long enough to get down a proper entry...LOL!

So I just got back from seeing the new Avatar movie. Bald kid Avatar, not blue people avatar. Now Coco and I have watched the whole series (I've missed a few episodes here and there), but my mother has only seen glimpses of a few episodes and didn't know much about it.

SPOILERS. SPOILERS. THERE ARE MAJOR SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT.
We all agree that the movie sucked monkey balls, to put it lightly. However, it had a few redeeming qualities. It wasn't "Eragon" by any means. Compared to that disaster, Avatar wasn't that fuckin' bad! 8D

Story and Characters
The overall feel of the story was just entirely too serious. The reason the cartoon was so good was that it mixed the serious elements with lighthearted moments, and the movie completely missed that. I understand there's a war going on, but these are children. Kids goof off...especially Aang. The Aang in the movie didn't smile even once. Even if you've only seen the opening credits to the show, you'd know that's not how Aang is.
Sokka is supposed the be the strategist, the man with the plan. He was fairly useless in this movie. Also, he was very un-funny. I don't know how else to describe him.
Katara...IDK, I just kinda overlooked her. She was that forgettable as a character. Princess Yue made more of an impact than she did, and she's only in the movie for what, maybe 8-10 minutes?
Prince Zuko was fairly ok, he could have been better with a little more emo/teen angst thrown in there.
Uncle Iroh was PERFECT. He had the easygoing, benevolent attitude, they included his love for tea, and his performance showed that he truly cared for his nephew.
The Fire Lord could have been a bit more ruthless and evil, I feel...but then again it's PG, what can I expect? Wait...the cartoon is also PG...HEY!

Pronunciation
M. Night Shy...Sha...S...yeah, that guy, was the one that said he changed the pronunciation of a lot of the names so they'd be more "Asian". That's all well and good, but why don't you keep it consistent? I will agree that the new pronunciations of most of the names "Iroh", "Sokka", etc. does fit better within the phonetic structure of the Japanese language, so fine, keep those changes.

But right in the middle of the movie you have a fire nation child pronounce "Agni Kai" as "Agni Ki". When the cartoon makers specifically named it like that because "kai" is Japanese for "meeting" (Yeah, I watch the episodes with the little "Avatar Extras" fun facts...but I know this anyway because "kai" is one of the few kanji I can actually recognize XD FAIL.) And "agni" means fire in some other language.
So what was the reason for changing that, when the pronunciation was already correct?
GTFO!
(However, now that I think on it, "ki" means fire...but still it didn't need to be changed...D:<)

And btw, the cartoon-version pronunciation of Aang's name fits fine with the Korean phonetic structure. It would be 앵(old) instead of 앙(new). So it didn't really need to be changed to make it more Asian-sounding. JSYK.
(I can only speak for Japanese and Korean~I don't know anything about Chinese)

Incorrect or not, I felt they should have kept the same pronunciations as the show, for consistency's sake. I mean, it's a movie that takes place in a FICTIONAL PLACE, why does it need to be accurate?

Visual Design
I liked the costumes. 8D
The two of us were also grumpy about Katara not having hair loopies. And I was thoroughly disgusted by the lack of topknots. D:<
The Nothern Water Tribe's palace was pretty nice. I liked that too.
The visual effects were pretty good. I thought Appa was adorable, and Momo was really all over the place, so I didn't get a good glimpse.

Other things
"Show, don't tell" is a rule used in acting (and writing too, if I'm not mistaken). Random Katara voice-overs were totally unnecessary. Also, I thought that certain lines of dialogue were unnecessary, or could have been worded better. When General Zhao has Aang captured, he tells him directly "I set the trap for you~". Later, when Zuko is like, who the hell is this chick? Katara replies, "My name is Katara, and I'm the last water bender of the Southern Water Tribe." He asked for your name, not your life story. And the way she said it was terrible, also. I mean, if you're gonna give him all that, say it with conviction, with pride.

Bending was very cool.

I would like to give mention to one scene, where Aang is fighting against Zuko. Aang hides directly behind him, and as Zuko turns his head left, Aang slides to the right. Then he turns right, and Aang goes the other way, just like in a "Tom and Jerry" cartoon. It was a lighthearted, amusing touch to an otherwise serious moment. The rest of the movie should have been handled in this manner.

I at least got a laugh out of this, so I don't really feel my money was wasted. Also, say what you will about the Twilight movies, I may not like them, but I will commend them for being accurate and consistent ~~in their fai~~l. I've read the books and seen whatever DVDs Coco has brought home (the first two?), and the movies are nearly an exact play-by-play of the books. Avatar could stand to learn a lesson here.

Ok, so I fainted today. At work. At my register. In the middle of a transaction. I'm so embarrassed.
I've never fainted before in my life, and I chose such a delightful time for my first fainting spell. T___T

I'm still not sure how the hell it happened. One minute I'm helping this lady (I think it was a lady, can't remember), then I feel woozy/dizzy, and the next thing I know Corey and Alex (I'm not actually sure what the hell they do, but I'd describe them as my supervisor's supervisors, or something like that, but they know me well) are hovering over me like "Ohnoes! You ok Jacky?" I'm laying there on my side, and Corey is like, "Did you hit your head? Do you think you need an ambulance?" Asking me how I fell/fainted...I'm thinking, Dude, you tell me 'cause I don't even know how the hell I got down here! But I found that I could still name all of the members of Super Junior, so I figured the damage wasn't permanent, and that an ambulance would not be needed.

Then it gets fuzzy. I remember one of them asking me to take my time sitting up, and that he would help me. Then they got me to the break room, I'm not sure how 'cause I don't remember that either. I just know I came to in the break room and I'm like...WTF just happened?~!

I waited there for a bit with the cold water they gave me. In my opinion, both of them handled the situation very well~ ^__^. I may hate my job, but the people I work with are pretty nice. I wasn't 100% certain I was fine, so after my condition didn't improve, I decided to call my mother and go home.

So here I am. I'm fine now, aside from my headache, which I took medicine for. I found out later that I actually did hit my head, there's a itty bitty bump right there (I'm sure it's cute -__-; ) I don't know how I hit it, 'cause when I came around I was laying on my right side, but the bump is on the left. I'm just lucky I was only wearing my headband, and not the clips that I almost decided to wear.

I wasn't too tired, I wasn't dehydrated, I actually ate breakfast this time. IDEK.

Ok, I just got back from the Wonder Girls concert (featuring 2PM) so I have to do this quickly before I forget everything. 'Cause I'm like that.
My pics or vids aren't the best (youtube make the quality terrible~) but I'm sure the ~~bitches~~ people who shoved me down to get in front of me have better pictures.

I got VIP tickets for me and my mom.
We got there, and we had a PERFECT parking space, right across from the place.
So we waited in line. Then the Tabernacle (venue where the concert took place) opened and we went inside. More waiting. This is boring, we can skip this.
I did share my Starburst with a very adorable girl who was standing behind us.
2PM comes out and everyone goes batshit. See video. I couldn't take much video at the time, because then they told us to move away from the balcony.

So we get to the head of the line, and TA-DA, there's the Wonder Girls! I was wondering where they would be. They were hiding over there on the right side, there was a curtain. Quite frankly, they are all just too adorable. I only got to spend less than thirty seconds with them, but in that thirty seconds, they were so sweet, friendly and personable.

Before I got there, I promised myself I wouldn't talk in Korean, to avoid embarassing myself or looking like a weeaboo. But I really, really wanted both the Wonder Girls and 2PM to feel welcome, so I did it anyway. XD I'm such a loser.

2PM was just as friendly, and it seemed so genuine, not forced at all. They seemed very glad to be there (especially when Taec was on stage, he really seemed to enjoy it). I was so nervous at meeting 2PM that I didn't even look up at them, and they were right there! My mom said after the picture, "I was holding on to someone's waist or something, not sure who." Looking at the pic, it was probably Khun. EDIT: I just looked at the pic and my mom has her boob just PRESSED into Khun! DX/XD She regrets nothing. I wanted to offer them candy too (I bought a ton of Starburst, like, five different packs, to share with whomever I met at the concert) but I figured I had been enough of a weirdo freak already.

No need to tell you about the long wait between the meet & greet and the show. I'm so grateful that I was able to get so close. If there were actual rows, I would have been in at least the 2nd-3rd row. My mom left me to go to the balcony area, so I was standing ALONE. T___T I didn't really like that. And nobody wanted a FREE glow bracelet. Except for Kay ;D. They were on sale at Target for $1, and I had three packs of 15. They just said, "No thanks" and looked at me like I was some kind of freak, which did nothing for my extreme shyness.

It didn't get crowded until the non-VIP showed up, but right then it was bearable.
It was soon to get worse.
2PM came in.
It was so crowded in there, we were ass-to-crotch for most of the actual show. The only thing preventing me from getting buttraped was my backpack. XD

The started with "Without You", if I'm not mistaken.
Then they greet the crowd, introducing themselves individually. Ah so nice, first time in Atlanta, etc.
Next song, uhh...Heartbeat. I'm already forgetting things.
Then Again and Again.
Towards the end, all of them say a little ditty in english, talk about how awesome we've been, promise to come back to Atlanta. (I'm holding you to your word. >:|) Etc.
Then on to "I Hate You".
They finished off with 10 points out of 10, complete with flips and everything. I was worried about whether or not they'd have enough space on stage for it.
I really enjoyed 2PM, they were really into it, and gave a spectacular performance. I can't wait until them (or just One Day, please God, one day give me One Day!)
Then Taec says, "Are you ready for the Wonder Girls?" Deafening screams.
A screen comes down....dadadada~wait a bit.
Then we see each of their silhouettes in turn as the dance behind the screen with their names showing on it. Screen comes down and YAY~ It's WG!
They started off with a few songs I'm not familiar with.
They did "Don't Cha" also.
During one part while they were first greeting the crowd, one of the girls said "Hello DC! 8D" I don't know who 'cause I'm short. ): But she recovered gracefully, and the whole thing went over well with the audience, it was so cute.
Then came Lim's solo first. OMG!
She was like, "I know you know a lot about the Wonder Girls members, etc. But what do you know about me?" Then she started with "Lip Gloss" and it was perfect, it fit so well! I thought her dancing was very good also.
Yoobin's solo was that Black Eyed Peas song. She is so sexy.
Sohee's solo was "Single Ladies" with a video on the screen behind her of Yoobin and Yeeun dancing along with her.
Sunye did "Paparazzi"...I had to ask Coco about it because I don't know all these new-fangled English songs.
They did their little flamenco stomp dance ( think they also did it for one of the end-of-the-year shows, 'cause it looks familiar). After that, they took off the red skirts: Pretty white dresses.
Pull the piano out of the corner and it's ballad time!
They sang, "Saying I Love You" and I was so hoping they would! By this point I didn't have enough memory left in my camera to take any video, but I took pics while singing along. This one guy next to me was looking at me weird because I knew all the words. XD There was real snow coming down, and since I was standing near the front some of it fell on me, but I didn't catch the worst of it. The girls were so beautiful. I wish I had a fancam of this part. I'm sure the people in front of me do. :\

For the encore? Two Different Tears!
Overall, the Wonder Girls were really amazing (although they sounded like chipmunks sometimes). I am so glad they were well received by the crowd, they did a WONDERFUL job.

Other things:
I know a lot of people whine and complain about how certain kpop stars "need to eat a hamburger", but the girls looked just fine (I think Yeeun had the biggest boobs. O__O Wut? I am not a creeper). I'd estimate that they're a little smaller than me. And I'm only a little bit smaller than 2PM. Those are some skinny boys, imo. Maybe they're the ones that need burgers?

There was this one, older guy there that was singing louder and stanning harder than anyone. He's got mad props from me. I'm so proud.

There were times when people would start pushing and it got really bad.
I have to say I'm thankful for the lady standing next to me, who stood up to the losers who were pushing us (most of the people instigating the pushing seemed to be guys). She was all RAAAAAAAAAAAGE~! And this one guy got told. He was directly behind me and tried to sass back, and tell her to chill out but hello! We're being pushed and squished. Finally she was like "Hey, there are little girls up here, could you stop with the pushing?!" And by little girls, she meant small women, but we got the point. And she was right. Right there in that area were all the little shorties, and we were being shoved around mercilessly. At the beginning of the show, I was standing next to the guy, and by the end, I'm a few rows back and further to the left.

Oh, I met Kay! She's in Omona, but I don't know if she's in the lounge. If she gives the ok, I'll post her pic too~And small world, but I'm standing next to Kay, total strangers. Turns out she's friends with Reanna (reannaremick ), who I'm friends with on LJ. I saw Reanna standing like DEAD CENTER as soon as I came in, but I wasn't %100 sure it was her, and I didn't want to be like "HAAAAAY GURL HAAAAAAY!" and have the wrong person.
