I just kinda wanted to post pics of my first ever completed blanket, baby sized but I think it turned out cute! It was a gift for one of my supervisors who is super sweet and about to pop! I've been doing crochet and sewing in addition to my jewelry lately :)

EDIT: Adding pics of the market bag I made as well :) It expands like whoa, so I can fit my purse and my lunch cooler in it with many other things, my favorite carryall!

So, my last post wound up really weird. I blame it on a combination of pain, meds, depression, and self loathing.

ANYWAY, Update on my finger. It still hurts like a bitch but the wrap is off. Now I have a 'Buddy Strap' to keep it tethered for the next few weeks, and instructions to keep flexing it several times a day to keep it from freezing up. This means faster typing, but it still hurts. I got to see my xrays, basically where the bones meet, part of the bone that curves around the joint (I'm describing this really badly) broke off completely. The good news is that it's still being held by tissue so it's not going to need surgery or anything and I'll be able to use my hand almost like normal in a couple of weeks. The bad news is that it will take 6mos- 1yr for it to heal completely and the pain to be gone completely. I'm getting used to it though, so I'm sure it will be tolerable. If you're interested, it basically looks like this, but on my ring finger.

Anyway, sorry for all the pity party stuff, I'm hopefully coming out of my funk again. It came to a head yesterday, couldn't even stay out of bed for more than a few hours, but I was up and doing well today so YAY!

Love you all and I hope to talk more soon. I'm on AIM most of the time, if I remember to turn it on, this computer keeps randomly shutting it down :/

So some people could get away with downloading non torrents, while others might get their internet service cut off. I urge you to click it and read, as we all know people who download.

No more downloading eps of your favorite shows for vidding, gifs, or fanfiction art. No more downloading screencaps possibly. I'm so sorry my friends. I don't even know if BT Guard will work to protect you, but I would google it if I were you. It is a professional service that supposedly can protect you from the invasive eyes of your internet provider.

Just, my friends, please make each other aware. Please be aware of the date JULY 12TH. Mark your calendar and double check with your internet provider by then. If you start receiving notices of downloaded activity, this is why. And your internet service could be throttled or cut off.

Times are tough all around and as much as I bitch about the position we're in I know that there is always someone else who needs help even more than we do. Anyway, I wanted to post this for a friend of mine who is way short on her rent. Also, if you want to give money to her I can throw in a pair of simple earrings, or if you want to order something bigger from me, I'll give 50% of the cost to her. Anyway, here is her original post:

I've been meaning to do this for some time, because extra money never hurt anyone, but we're about $300 short for the rent for February, and March is about to come due, too, and as I *STILL* haven't managed to get Iain registered for school (long story), I can't work yet because Child...well, not in school. (Also, it costs a stupid amount of money to take the certification tests. How ridiculous). Anyway. In order to meet this burden, I'm offering up words. Writing is the one thing I know I can do right now. Here's the details:

$1 for every 100 words, rounded up past the 50 word mark (e.g., a 149 word drabble would be $1 while a 151 word one would be $2). Requests will be used as the target amount of words; anything over will be "free". For example, if you want a 1,000 word story, it would be $10, and at least 1,000 words (probably not much more than that. Don't anticipate a 5,000 word story for the purchase of your 1,000 word one). I will write anything you want, though fandoms will have to be discussed if you want something not on the list I will provide. I can write in a lot of fandoms, and will most likely miss one, but not everything is something I can do. Fanfic or original fic are available. I can write kink (and if it's one I am unfamiliar with, I will research), gen, het, slash, femslash, poly...you name it, I can probably come up with something.

Update, Awards, and Shop

Hey everyone, I know this update is very long overdue. I've been so busy, I'm co-modding the amazing HP Mpreg fest, wizsprogs which will begin posting on Sunday, I'm in the midst of trying to catch up on my beta work, and I still have a couple of fics to finish writing myself. On top of that add on stress at home and yeah, things have been crazy.

I finally got off the rest of the holiday cards last week. Everyone should have received theirs by now, if you were on my list and you haven't gotten anything let me know.

I haven't gotten to work on much jewelry which sucks, especially since I just had to switch my shop from goodsie to Etsy due to cost. So right now my Etsy shop only has a couple of items up but hopefully I'll have that fixed this weekend. Regardless of that I've already had one sale :) I'm so excited about it that I've been doing a happy dance all day, lol. Anyway, here is my new shop:

Why do these people not listen to all of the people who are upset. On a lighter note, I tried to participate in firewhiskey_fic on Friday, but by the time I stopped laughing enough to write I was too sober, lol. Still, great night with morgana_fire and scarletfbl. Unfortunately, we woke up in the morning to Feathergeddon. Evidently Xander thought that it would be a good idea to find out what was inside of his feather pillow. I have never seen so many feathers in my life. Seriously, there were DRIFTS in his room. Pics are here:

Lastly, I've seen quite a few people put up their wishlists, and of course I did it last year, so I figure I'll do it again. So, if you're interested, take a look!

1. Gift Cards to Walmart, Amazon, Target, Wherever really, just to help with presents for the kiddos. We are broke again, as most of you know Dan's illness has kept him from working very much. In fact he's out of school, possibly for good :(

2. Fics. I would love to have fics written for me, I love Harry Potter, Merlin and SPN fandoms with most slash pairings from HP (except for any including Voldie, Ron, or Dumbles) and I love Merlin/Arthur in Merlin and Wincest/J2 from SPN

3. Graphics, I always love getting banners and such, and am going to make a post soon of all my pretties :)

4. Anything on my Amazon Wishlist which is Here

5. A nice Malfoy men centric layout, and instructions on how to use it, lol. I still have no clue.

6. If you're around here, I need babysitters. Just one time, or once a month, or whenever, we need breaks and Xander is hard to handle. The thing is, he's good for everyone but us. Anyway, yeah, we can always use breaks.

7. Beading/Jewelry supplies I want everything, lol.

8. Harry Potter themed charms/items

9. Order things from my shop! Or just pass the word around. I need to get sales there to pay for presents for the kids, and of course if I don't get any sales in the next 16 days I will be closing the shop. No point in paying the $15/mo we can't afford if I'm not going to get anything from it :(

10. One last thing, we would love to have a membership to Discovery Gateway (http://www.discoverygateway.org/membership) for 4 people so we could take the kids there all the time. I love going there, but it's too expensive for us to do it often (in fact the only time I've been there was when they had a free day.)

Happy Veteran's Day!!

Just wanted to make a quick entry to thank our vets, especially those I know on my flist, and those in my family and my husband's family. As much as I do not support the war, I will never stop supporting those troops who go fight for whatever reason. I hope that someday war is unnecessary but until that day, just hope that those who are still fighting can make it home safely.

In other completely unrelated news, Claiming is now open at wizsprogs and we have tons of great claims still available, so come over and snatch one up!
