Welcome, welcome. Another crazy project of mine. But singitdj is going to be that place where we can all share music with some fantastic mixes. But before everybody goes crazy, there's some rules to follow.

a. Play nice. No ripping anybody for taste factor. Even though the eighties are that questionable. As is country music. But really, everybody is welcomed. I'd like to stick to that.

b. Please upload your music and provide an appropriate link. You can do individual songs, but most people prefer a .zip file. There's sendspace, but it's mean. There's also megaupload and so on and so forth.

c. Some people use crazy, cool photos that they find on the internetz. Others use crazy, cool banners. Credit, credit, credit. If it doesn't belong to you, make sure that the awesome person that took/made the banner or photo is given what they deserved.

d. From time to time, there might be a 'theme of the week' or 'theme of the month' challenge. Stay appropriate please.

e. And finally - I cannot stress this enough - TAG APPROPRIATELY. Follow these easy steps:

mixer + : + your username = mixer: your username. eg: mixer: fated_addiction.

If 'theme of the week/month' gets off ground, follow these steps:

mixer + : + your username = mixer: your username. eg: mixer: fated_addiction
theme + : + whatever the theme is = theme: whatever. eg. theme: fruit

WHICH THEN MEANS IN THAT FUN LITTLE TAG SPACE, THINGS SHOULD LOOK LIKE:

mixer: fated_addiction, theme: fruit.

You can obviously get how much I hate tagging stuff. You can imagine how cranky I'll get if I have to go back and tag stuff. Endless crankiness.

f. If you're going to link from your journal, also link appropriately.

g. And finally, lock all your mix posts.

RULE UPDATE MAY 25, 2008: Okie dokie. With the growing membership of singitdj, we all know that membership is closed. To be considered, however, you must have an active journal. This is to protect all of our members and their journals as well. Thank you.
