Exactly one year ago, after a truly craptastic 2015, I said that things could only get better in 2016.

And then 2016 happened in all its glory.

(Sidenote: FU, 2016. FU sideways. Repeatedly.)

So I'm somewhat reluctant to now say that things can only get better in 2017. But you know what? 2017 will be the year of the Jensen Hug and the Padahug and no matter what other fuckalicious things will be thrown at me, I'll get my hugs and it'll be awesome and counteract any bad stuff that might come my way. SO THERE.

(I hope I didn't just jinx JIB in general and my trip in particular with the statement above... *gulps*)

State of the Gaby

So, I've been sick for over a week now - it started Wednesday evening but I woke up Thursday morning with a raging headcold that turned into a sinusitis with some serious respiratory problems over the weekend. Yesterday, my ENT doc informed me that my right ear was also infected.

I've basically been in a semi-vegitative state since last Friday. I missed A LOT of stuff obviously, since I've only really been back online today. So, apologies for the radio silence but there's no way I will manage to catch up on my flist. If I missed anything important or fun or, ya know, ridiculously hot 'n sexy, please leave a link to it in the comments.

Speaking of LJ - WTF?! Am I the only one who gets redirected to the actual entry when I click on the LJ-cut link?! This is annoying, to say the least. What's a cut for if you can't expand the post by clicking on it while remaining on your own damn flist feed?!

But then! THEN! I come here to post this update, and the update page is all fucked up! What is this?!

(Sidenote: since I have no way to access my scrapbook - no, even if I open the scrapbook, I can no longer upload to it! - I had to use a different browser to log in under a different LJ username, an account that uses the new style, and lo! I could upload pics there! So I've copy-pasted the html coding from there. If this clusterfuck has anything to do with the fact that I refused to switch to the new style, well, FU, LJ. I will NOT use the new style. Make the old style work. NOW. Fuckers processed the automatic payment for my regular account today of all days. FIGURES. *fumes*)

If this is what LJ is like now, I doubt I'll be pretty active for the time being. Reading my flist is frustrating enough with the damn cut not working properly. Posting is clearly a nightmare. I haven't tried to comment anywhere yet, but chances are that'll be fucked up, too. *shakes fist*

Considering that I'll have quite a bit of fic posting to do in the next few weeks, I'm going to smash my head against the nearest wall right now in preparation for things to come.

Allow me to let John Oliver sum up this year so far - with the LJ fuck-up clearly being the cherry on top.

Now let's hope this works. Since I can't preview my own entry, I have no clue whether any of the embedded links actually work...
