I have now just finished my third graphic for the day. Apparently I was missing some Photoshop vitamins or something. I am loving the sepia at the moment -- this one was on purpose because I was trying to make look like a page from the bestiary. |

My story this year is a thing of beauty: That's How We Rolls, Muchachos - Sahara. Rudi POV. Poor Rudi is drawn into yet another Al and Dirk adventure with guns, snippy banter, Al's hat and the destruction of Sandecker's property. It's wonderful and so incredibly spot on character-wise that I'm flailing like Kermit. If you know the movie -- go, read it. If you don't know the movie -- go, read it. And then beg, borrow or steal a copy of the movie and enjoy the role that Matthew McConaughey was born to play, Steve Zahn being awesome, Penelope Cruz bringing a great female character into the mix and William H. Macy, 'nuff said. |

Just a little reminder of the society we live in and why not saying anything, not doing anything is criminal. Just add the recent Vile Kyle spewing of filth and it makes you think. Well, make some of us think. My hope for White Ribbon Day is that you, dear friendlist, will think. Pretty simple, right? Do some reading, follow some links. Maybe even do some research. It doesn't take much to be aware of the world you live in and try to do something to change it for the better. Even if you only make a small change in attitude or action, it's still a change and can lead to something greater. Simply saying, "Hold on, that's not cool," is simple but says so much. Choosing an alternative option hits companies where it hurts -- their bottom line. But saying nothing? Doing nothing? Perpetuates the cycle, gives tacit approval for it to continue and makes you complicit in wrongs that are done. If you agree? Do something. Sign a petition, choose another brand, go out and be awesome. If you find this confronting? Good. A wake up call is good for the soul. It's good to learn new things. If you don't care? Feel free to defriend me. If you really don't care or can't be arsed to click a couple of links? Please, tell me now. I'd love to know, because I'll do the defriending for you. |

Firstly, thank you, thank you for signing up and I hope you have fun with whichever of my requests you go with. Please take anything I say as a guide, please don't lock yourself into trying to make it exactly as written. I don't want to limit you with what you feel you can write, I just want to give you an idea of what generally floats my boat. :) If inspiration takes you somewhere else, I'm more than okay with that and will be bouncing off the walls waiting to read it. So, this morning is not going well -- took me about twenty seconds to realise that the reason I couldn't do my pants up was because I had them on inside out. Anyway, I have a shower epiphany, as I am want to do, but this one was fandom related (normally they are more rant-related about something in the world according to pollymel).WHY HAS SOMEONE NOT WRITTEN AN EAGLE/WHITE COLLAR FUSION?
