Att is finally going to upgrade my cell tower. Maybe I’ll get the new LTE since verizon cost too much for a 5 gig cap. The boxes say ship to att so I know it is not for any of the other vendors. Hope hope hope!

Dead fox in the middle of the road. . . wait did she just move her head?

When coming back home from Starke from a mystery shop I noticed what I thought was a newly hit gray fox in the middle of my lane. (Picture from Google maps) When I swerve around it I noticed that the head turned to look at the car as I went by.

"Oh my god, it is still alive!"

Turning around quickly I drove back to where it was laying and the fox looked OK, no blood seen or anything but it was just laying in the middle of the right lane. Franticly Fran and I talked about what we should do. It was most likely clipped and would need medical care. How could we get it home as we had Frejya with us in the truck and I did not have anything to protect my hands should the fox want to bite me. It is a hurt and scared animal after all.

Hoping out of the truck, I started to walk to it hoping the for the best when I noticed a car coming up. I started to wave to them hoping that they would at least slow down and not just run it over more. When the car got close to it, it got up and ran into the bushes limping a little bit on the rear legs.

Well that was a shock. I would have have expected her to have moved after getting hit by a car and not as well as it was doing. (Yes I was close enough to sex her at this point) I followed her into the tree line on the left and saw her standing about 10 feet away from me just ten feet away from me panting. Not sure what else to do,I figure I might as well try to catch her as she was hurt. I started stomping into the bush and almost went head first into a web of a Orb Spider! Eeep!

Sadly since the spider distracted me the vixen left and I did not see where she went. I do feel really lucky to have seen a gray fox that close in the wild. Maybe I need to work with my spirit guides a bit more.

Had a good weekend. Most of the weekend was just simple cleaning and working on the house. Got most of the altar room cleaned up and a few loads of laundry. Still need to clean the bunny cage and I think I'll be working on that tonight.

Not sleeping very well the last few nights. I was up around 5:30 this morning and just could not really get back to sleep. My dreams have been kinda weird having things attacking me in bed and running around in a hotel finding cakes. . . I'm not sure why the latter bothered me but it did. O.o

Very tried today and I can't really get myself moving. I was hoping that working on a post might pick me up but no joy at the moment. Since I swore off caffeine I can't do much to pick me up.

Wednesday I need to go to the doctor. My tummy is acting up again. It is not too bad right now but out of the last 30 days, I would say that 20 of them have been bleh.

Evidently it even killed a few people in Georgia. Luckily for me it was not that big of a deal. For us, the power went out around 6:00 PM, but I had a plan. For hurricane system about three years ago we bought a generator. Nothing much but enough to power the well and fridge. Since I had work to do at work and needed my local server to be working, I choose to see what it could do. A couple of extension cables later, I had, lights, TV, computer, a fan, and my computers all powered up... then the power came back on about 10 minutes later. Ah , well at least I know it will be able to do the job and it is still working well for this season. Need to chance the oil this year.

Anyway, when I going to work, I had to fight high winds behind the storm. Bad enough that when we crossed the bridge I was really worried about being blown off of it. When I got to work, I found that some people were not going to have a very good day. As you can see in the picture, those are limbs off of a tree. Those were broken off of many of the pines that were getting blown into the oak and sadly, were breaking/denting peoples cars. Luckily (or smartly) I did not park under trees when it is windy so nothing happened to me.

It will be 'interesting' to drive back home. The winds are supposed to keep up tonight.

Posted @ http://www.redfox.org/index.php/2009/04/14/i-love-a-rainny-night/
