Sweets Legacy 1.0 + 2.0

Be warned, I have yet to ever finish a legacy, though I would like to change this. Each child will be named after a sweet; be it a candy, dessert, or anything else sugary. I started out with a very beautiful sim, and I want to see how ugly I can make her descendants.

For anyone who actually read and was interested in my previous attempts at the legacy challenge, I didn't simply "give up". Rather I planned on re-creating my families after my first re-install, but never did. And by the second re-install I had forgotten all about them, and I lost their data. :\

Meet our founder, Cupcake Sweets! She is actually the Sim made for legacy_writers' 2nd Founder Challenge (made by simrenity). I rolled for her aspiration, but if IRC the challenge founder was supposed to be a Knowledge sim anyway, yes?

This is her lovely home. I think I had about §26 when I was finished. XD Oh, and it is on a 2x2 lot because I have too much CC for anything larger.

Of course we start off by skilling.

And Cupcake greets the paperboy, Alon.

Cupcake: Hey kid, nice nose.

Um... yes. His nose is perfect for future generations. :]

There wasn't a job in the criminal career track. :\

Finally the welcome wagon arrives, complete with two playables and Ben Long.

Cupcake: So... I just moved to the neighborhood, and I don't know anybody yet. How about you show me around sometime? Maybe. If you're not too busy, of course. *nervous giggle*

I never realized how cute shy sims are when they flirt!

Cupcake: *oooh Cupcake likey*

But... is he ugly enough? I vote no. I think Ben and Cupcake could have cute babies, and that is just not okay for an uglacy.

Cupcake was invited downtown, so a man huntin' we go!

WTM? TWO other people? That's it?

There weren't many choices at our first stop. This guy was about as ugly as it got. Though, he has S3 skin and black hair just like Cupcake.

Cupcake: *Oh gosh, he's looking right at me. WHATDOIDO?!?*

Why hello there Zombie/Alien bartender!

Just as we were leaving, Cupcake bumps into Komei Tellerman. This could work... I hope you got his number, Cupcake.

At our second stop, we run into this guy. He has a fun beak-like nose and silly puckered lips. Perfect. And Cupcake digs him.

Cupcake: *He's cute!*

Unfortunately, he doesn't quite feel the same way about her.

Cupcake: Aww I'm sorry, I... I'm just gonna go then.

After a long day, Cupcake curls up with a good [cook]book, and unwinds.

And that night she dreams about how hot Ben is! I almost feel bad for not letting them be together.

There were no criminal jobs in the paper again, so...

Cupcake took a job as a firefighter! Doesn't she look adorable?

The next morning, Cupcake invited Ben over for a date. She looks so happy with him.

The were having a great time together.

She gave me this look when I told her to kiss him.

Cupcake: Kiss him? But, then he'll know I like him!

C'mon Cupcake, you know you wanna!

Things were progressing nicely, and so I decided to conduct a little experiment. Will Ben & Cupcake's genes mix well together or not?

At this point, my dad turned to me and asked "Why are you watching the bed fight with its self?" I had a good laugh, and explained to him what WooHoo is. Which... was a little awkward.

BTW, I heard the baby jingle!

The date was cut short due Cupcake leaving for work. They still managed to have a dream date, however. :]

I choose "Do It". She needs to be more adventurous!

What? But... you know you liked it.

The demotion didn't really affect Cupcake. She was just happy to be able to do the dishes.

Cupcake: YES, I love cleaning. Cleaning is my FAVORITE.

Silly girl :]

That night, Cupcake heads back downtown looking for a husband. Instead, she finds a vampire.

Cupcake: Yo-you're a vampire. *blinks* They really DO exist!

The matchmaker came strolling by, and so Cupcake asked to be hooked up!

Cupcake: I need someone who's "ugly" but still totally hot. Oh, and he has to like to clean. Cleaning is my favorite. :D

She gave her §400, half of her money, but apparently that wasn't good enough...

Though Cupcake did get a winner in the genes department!

I didn't even realize Ben was on the lot. Cupcake got caught cheating. Oh noes.

Cupcake: So... I'm pregnant with another man's baby. Does that bother you?
UglyRedhead: That is so cool! Babies are awesome.

I asked Cupcake what she thought of UglyRedhead, and she responded:

Cupcake: *gag* I think I just threw up in my mouth a little...
UglyRedhead: Are you okay?

Is this not good for an uglacy?

Cupcake: So... what do you think about me?
UglyRedhead: Ewww, you are so ugly. I can't believe I agreed to this date with you.

That was harsh.

And it just went downhill from there. The date ended with a rating of 'Bad' (almost 'Lame', but not quite)

Cupcake headed back into the club, and who do you think she found? Why, it was Komei Tellerman! She asked him to dance with her :]

They seemed to hit it off real well.

And before Cupcake headed back home, she felt a connection with Komei.

Of course, mere minutes after arriving home, Cupcake went into labor (I swear I don't remember ANY pops!) And OF COURSE she was in the bathroom when it happened! :P

I introduce you to Sprinkle Sweets, a girl. She has her mommy's hair, dad's skin, and both her parent's eyes.

Cupcake wasn't off to a good start.

Cupcake: What does it want?! Please stop crying! Pretty please? I... I think I broke it.

After some coaching from me, Spinkle was properly fed, changed, and put to bed.

And with the baby sound asleep, Cupcake invited Komei over for a date.

Somehow I found that to be so cute. He wants her to be his first... Awww♥

So, yeah. Get to it!

That skyrocketed the meter up to 'dream date', and Komei moved in!

That was all he had in his inventory, but it was enough to add on to the house, with a little bit (barely) left over.

Cupcake introduces Komei to Sprinkle, and its love at first sight. Komei is crazy about her.

Komei: Peek-a-Boo! Who's a pretty baby!? You're a pretty baby! You're just so cute I wanna pinch your little cheeks. Yes I do!
Cupcake: Um... WTM?
Sprinkle: Who's the silly lookin' man mommy? He's funny.

Komei wants to be Sprinkle's daddy, and Cupcake's husband but Cupcake isn't ready for that quite yet.

Cupcake: Whoa, slow down there buddy. You just moved in.

Aww, poor Komei. Look at that face! :[

Finally, Cupcake found a job in the criminal career, and she was promoted her first day!

Komei gives it a second go.

Komei: I love you more than anything Cupcake. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Nobody else has ever loved me like you do!
Cupcake: Ah, okay. Sure. I'm not getting any younger...

They got married right then and there.

And it looks like a mini-Komei is on its way!

Sprinkle grew up when I wasn't looking. Here she is after a makeover.

You can tell she's going to have a large nose. But I think it'll give her character.

It's a boy! Meet Pez Sweets. He has his mom's hair, skin, and eyes (which I think are also Komei's eyes?)

Another chance card! I actually enjoy these, even though I'm not good at them.

After imagining what Cupcake would look like chasing after one of those little birds, I chose "Lie".

Well yay she didn't get demoted or fired. Too bad for the mechanic though...

I missed Sprinkle's birthday again. But she looks happy enough :]

And it was Pez's birthday, as well. I forgot to take a picture of him as a toddler though. Sorry :P

Cupcake and Komei both win at their jobs. Don't they just look so happy!? XD

And the house got another makeover!

That's all for now. Who knows when the next update will be up. I've been itchin' to play some more, so hopefully I'll have something soon! :]

Also, if anybody had suggestions for names, I'd love to hear them.

I'm getting back into playing the sims after almost a year :X I saw some videos on YouTube of people building their homes, and I was inspired to give it a shot myself. This was actually kind of fun. I might be inclined to use the video feature more often... It's not uploaded to YouTube, however, because it was too big :S

Hello, I am Sprinkle Sweets *waves* I was not chosen for Sweets heir because I'm too pretty (it's an uglacy!), so I had to move out on my own.

... and this is my new home!

When you first walk into the house, we have the living room / seating area. I love playing video games and watching old movies.

Recently, I have taken up painting. It is very relaxing, and by having the easel by the window, I'm constantly inspired of new things to paint!

Just outside my bedroom door is a little reading corner. I love reading Travel books. One day I want to visit all the places in SimWorld. One day...

Here is a view of the kitchen and dinning area. I chose such dark colors because the area is so big and I wanted to make it feel smaller and cozier. And I think the punch of yellow keeps it interesting.

This is the guest bedroom. It has a bit of an Asian theme to it.

This is the bathroom, for my guests to use. That's fabric on the wall, there.

Around the curtain is the tub. For a little privacy when you take your bath.

Here is the nursery. No, I'm not pregnant. I'm not even seeing anyone right now. But someday I want to be a mom, and when that time comes, I want to be ready.

Finally - Dun-da-da-dunn.... This is my room! The style is a bit more fresh and funky then the rest of the house. I have my desk, and a magazine rack in the corner.

(I think this is the only shot of the dresser that I got...)

And around the wall/divider is my bed!

(you can sort of see the lamp on the desk... I thought I had a better picture, but I guess not. Oops)

I also have my dresser and a mirror over here. I'd use it to get ready for my dates... if I had any.

My bathroom is an aqua-green shade. I have a walk-in shower, two sinks and mirrors, plenty of counter space and...

A tub for bubble baths! (Oh, and the toilet. duh) Do you like that painting? It's one that I did a few weeks ago...

Some of the neighbors came over to say hello. I grilled us up some lunch, and we all sat around the picnic table and talked. They were very nice, but unfortunately they were also married.

Oh! And guess what? I have my very own tree fort! I never had anything like that when I was a kid, so I think it's pretty cool.

Isn't the view from up here amazing?! :D

[Story] Nothing But A Memory - prologue

I'm sure we've all thought to ourselves, at one time or another, "How great would it be to be a kid again?" with no worries or responsibilities. Unfortunatly, we don't ever get the chance to relive what, for some, are the best years of our lives.

But hypothetically, if you could; would you do everything the same? Or would you make changes to try and better your life down the road? Of course, you'd have to be careful; the slightest detail could change so much. Is it really worth that risk?

Well, since we don't have time machines, I guess we'll never know for ourselves. But for two young ladies, Sarah and Anna, a whole new world of possibilities awaits them...

The Time: August 2008
The Setting: Sarah's bedroom & Anna's sister's backyard

"Okay, so I'll pick you up after work on Friday? I get off at five. Oh, we are going to have so much fun!"

"I know! It's been so long since we've had a whole weekend to spend together."

"Yeah, I know. I miss when we were able to spend every second of every day together. Now we're both just so busy."

"Tell me about it. I can't believe my senior year is already here! And then there's Art School and a career. I don't know if I'm ready to grow up yet."

"Haha! I felt the same way when I graduated. But that's life, isn't it? You just have to keep moving forward, now matter how much you wish you could go back to simpler times."

"So true... Well, chica, I have to go. My sister should be back with dinner soon. And I have to go kill Taylor, he's driving me insane!"

"Ha, yeah good luck with the murder. I love you hun. Byes."

Just talking with Anna for that short amount of time made Sarah feel so lonely. She missed her friend more than anyone could ever understand. Well, Anna knew. For she felt the same way about Sarah.

They had been best friends ever since Sarah's family had moved next door to Anna's house. Back then, Sarah was eleven and Anna was seven, but the age difference never effected their friendship. If anything, it kept Sarah feeling young at heart, and made Anna act more mature than most of her peers.

They were closer than just friends, they thought of each other as sisters and loved each other just as much. It had been several years since Anna lived next door, but no matter where they lived they were always as close as ever. They both believed with all their hearts that no matter what happened, no matter where the other girl was, their bond would always be as strong as it was back when they were young. Perhaps even stronger with time...

As Sarah sat on her bed, reading an old book, she thought about "the good ol' days". Back when there were no worries, and no responsibilities. Just sunny summer days, long bike rides, and lots of laughter...

Suddenly Sarah felt dizzy, and her vision went blurry for just a moment. Then she was fine.

When she looked up from her book, she couldn't believe here eyes. Her room... it was different. Yet, so familiar. Sarah heard a voice she reconized from outside her window.

She went to see who it was, but... that was impossible. Her eyes must be playing tricks on her! She ran to the bathroom and looked in the mirror.

Sarah was an eleven year-old girl again.

"Taylor, I swear if you don't stop acting like fool I'm going to--"

Anna suddenly lost her balance. It almost felt as if the ground had shifted beneath her feet.

When she opened her eyes again, her teenage brother Taylor was gone. In his place was a four year-old Taylor look-a-like.

"Anna... are you okay? Are you sick? Should I go get mom?" the boy asked.

"Wha- No. I'm fine." Anna responded. But, her voice! Why did it sound so strange? She looked down at her self, and saw a very small body beneath her.

She looked around at where she was and realized it was her old back yard. And in the next house over, in the window stood a young, dark haired girl staring back at them. What had just happened?!?

NOTES
- The main characters (Sarah & Anna) are based on myself (Sarah) and my real-life best friend (Anna). The supporting characters may or may not be real people in our lives as well.

- The story is written by me, but with much advice and approval from Anna. :]

- The idea from this story came from a very odd dream that I had a few months ago. I couldn't get it out of my head. The question "What would I do if I had to live my life all over again?" was constantly on my mind. Anna also found the question very intriguing. This story is a mash-up of our many answers.

- The story's "plot" is still up in the air. I'm constantly debating what events should be kept and what should be 'changed'. I like my life so I don't want to change too much, but for story purposes it could be fun :P

Legacy | The Ishkabibble Family [Gen 1.0 - 2.0]

Here's my take on the Ishkabibble Legacy/Uglacy; also called GUCCI, which stands for... ? (Get Ugly Children Challenge I...?) Haha, well I think this is the most enjoyable legacy I've started yet for two reasons; 1} trying for ugly sims instead of pretty ones is fun & different, and 2} this is the first time I've allowed my simmies to run ~~completely~~ mostly on free-will. So they have a bit more of their own personalities than my other sims have.

There were no jobs in the Medical Career, so for now we'll work in the Science track. That way we can cover similar skills.

And Gabe gets started right away on the logic points! seriously, he ALWAYS has the want "to stargaze", even in the daytime. And after he does it, and gets the points, he rolls the same want again! I've never had a sim love the telescope quite as much.

Bedtime! We can't afford pretty bedsheets and colorful paint/wallpaper yet :\

I thought Bella was only on the milk in Pleasantview? Haha, and Gabe was just chattin' with her last night on the computer.

Gabe: OMG! The key to cleaning is SOAP!? What a discovery!!

After several hours (and at least one 'maxmotives' because I see nothing wrong with using it away from home), we find this sweetie. Niiice lips! Just what we need to get this uglacy started :D

Her name is Trista Shaw, and she's in the Science Career track.

She's a Leo (not that I even know what that means about her personality)

When Gabe asked her "Do you like what you see?", she was all "Meh?" So he asked what her turn-ons where, and she replied "makeup". I really don't like to see guys wearing makeup, but I really liked her so later I gave Gabe some light eyeliner.

The next day, Gabe had off from work, so he invited Trista over. Things progressed very quickly.

I/We/Gabe asked how much money she had and... well it isn't much, but I don't feel like trying to find somebody else. I love her. And Gave kinda likes her too. He'll grow to love her.

Right as the both became best friends, Gabe tried to... hug her, I think, and it didn't go over so well.

But she very quickly got over it, and they were already making out.

Gabe asked Trista to go steady with him (cuz I guess you have that option for adults w/ inteen) and she said no. Gabe didn't take it so well.

I tried to get them to talk a bit, but Gabe just couldn't stop thinking about being rejected. :[

So I intervened again, and told them to cuddle. Aren't they just so CUTE!? :D

I guess you can work up a sweat cuddling, cuz right then Gabe decided he needed a shower. Trista walked in and was all "OMG, naked guy!"

Gabe is a very forgiving sim. And its somewhere around here they both fall in love/have crushes on each other. (I forget which, I'm missing photos for both events).

And then its time to work on starting Generation Two!

Trista moves in and gets a MAKEOVER. She's lovely. I even like her big lips. They give her character :]

THREE pianos, a DJ table thing, an aquarium, a rug, some other junk... It made up for her lack of money. I sold it all except for the aquarium.

There was some half prepared food laying on the counter and I guess Trista was too hungry to go into the fridge. I feel bad for not stopping her, but I've never had a sick sim before, and I didn't want to interfere with free-will too much... *IsEvil*

Right away I got a message that she had the flu.

See what happens when you eat gross food that's been sitting out for two days?!

Oh... that just makes everything worse.

So Trista rolled the want to be engaged, and I didn't want the baby to be born with the Shaw name (though it still happened? ><'), so Gabe proposed right there in the bathroom.

And since Trista rolled the want to have a wedding party, we had it a few hours later.

Now I SWEAR I had Gabe initiate the marriage, but they all ended up with the name Shaw. I tried to change it with simPE, but I guess I messed up somewhere and my game stopped working. Thank goodness I made a backup right before I started changing the names back to Ishkabibble!

PT#9 was invited because as soon as I started this legacy, I was sure to make friends with him. I saw him in somebody else's legacy and I officially LOVE him and all aliens♥ How does he know she's preggers though? Her husband doesn't even know yet!

Oh yeah, and Gabe left right then for work.

So he missed the limo ride when the party was over.

Baby Bump #1

I missed the actual 'bump' but yeah... I don't see much difference.

Trista wanted a bird so we got this lil guy. His name is Holland and Trista spent almost the entire day teaching him to talk. Here they are discussing the meaning behind his name.

And because we need money to add on to the house, and Trista is on maternity leave, AND she has maxed out creativity points.... I had her alternate between painting a masterpiece and writing a novel.

That night while everyone was sleeping, I worked a bit on the new addition of the house. While Trista was checkin' it out, she popped again!

Here's the house thus far.

And then, the next day (I guess nothing eventful happened yesterday?), Trista invited PT#9 over because she wanted to be best friends with him. He brought a friend along. Things were going well, until she tried to hug him. Oops.

Then Trista went into labor! OWWIES XS

Say hello to baby Lucas ~~Shaw~~ Ishkabibble! He has his daddy's skintone, eyes (green), and both his parent's hair (blonde).

Aww, she loves him.

But... then she put him on the floor. I was like "Oh no! She's going to be that kind of a mom! ><"

But she picked him right back up to feed him, and I had trouble making her leave him alone from that point on.

PT likes...? eww

Gabe comes home from work to find out he's a daddy! I don't think Trista ever told him they were expecting.

After I FINALLY get Trista to set Lucas down and do something on her own, PT plays with him for a bit. Aww, theyz cute together! :]

With the paycheck Gabe brought home today (and a bonus from his promotion) I finish adding on to the house. Well, finished for now. I think I have an idea about what I want to do with the rest of it.

Well, Gabe went out to stargaze and he was abducted. I don't have a pic though... Right away Trista went looking for him.

And I found that PT decided to stay the night. (WHY?)

Finally, around dawn, Gabe is back!

Trista wakes up when Gabe (who doesn't look all 'there' if ya know what I mean) walks through the front door.

She's so happy that he's back!

PT left around then, and Gabe went to rest on the bed. He wasn't really tired. While he had been abducted his needs were going up and down like crazy!

Trista was looking through the telescope during the day, and the neighbor came over all upset. Though, Trista in turn got up in his face and I'm thinking he regrets even bothering to come over.

But... isn't that guy from Strangetown? The Ishkabibbles like in Weirdsville, a sub-neighborhood to Strangetown. How did she see into his house?

Anway, after breakfast Gabe starts thinkin' he might be preggers! :O

And I will end it here because A} this thing is already far too long, and B} I'm out of pictures! As soon as I exchange the backup files for the screwed up files, I plan on playing again. So hopefully there will be an update #2 soon!

YAY, they're back! :D

First of all, I have new defult skins <3

Plus this is what the twins look like after their makeovers.

And this is the family's new house. Its on a 3x3 lot, and it isn't too slow, or anything. It should *crosses fingers* be around for generations to come.

The family shares their first meal together in the new home.

I did not know I could use this animation! I always thought it came with Uni/Seasons (the one with the bubble bong)

Its Aiden's birthday, and I decide I want him as heir. I just love him so much already.

Ooh, I like :D

So as heir, we need to find somebody to make babies with!

HECK no!

Meh, I don't think so.

We head inside and Aiden gives the maid a very generous tip.

Aiden: This means you'll be my babymama now, right?

Maid: Heck no!

Aiden calls a cab and goes to P.U.R.E. nightclub. Anyone pretty that catches your eye Aiden?

This is Heidi. She's pretty cute.

At first it looks like they get along great.

But then all of a sudden, she wants nothing to do with him. Awwe :\

Then we spot this hottie :D

Aiden: Do you wanna be my babymama?

Way to be so blunt Aiden XD

Catalina: I'd love to be your babymama, but...

Catalina: ...you're too fit and healthy. Eww.

what they heck. I don't care what you say hun, you are gunna be his babymama if I have anything to do with it! *plotting*

Now she doesn't want anything to do with him either. Poor Aiden.

Back at home I decide to hook Nikki up with somebody. The only thing keeping me from making her heir, is she isn't actually related to Kevin or Louise. So I think I'm going to do a joint-heir thing with Nikki, but I doubt I'll keep it going all 10 gen. Maybe just 1 or 2.

Anyway, here's what the matchmaker came up with. His name a Jerome and I really like him.

And hey, they like each other too!

But then he starts talking about his "rocket". Classy.

Nikki is not impressed.

We go inside to play a little poker, because they both wanted too.

Aren't they cute together?

After I realized they couldn't cuddle or anything else in the hot tube, and the date was coming close to the end, I had Nikki drink one of the Love Potions she bought earlier from the matchmaker.

Aww, their fist kiss!

Looks like Nikki's interested in his rocket now!

So anyway, Louise & Kevin adopted another kid. His name is Charlie and everybody really seems to like him.

Louise: Congrats on being adopted, kid!
Charlie: YAY :D

That first day Charlie and Devon become best friends.

And that night before bedtime, Nikki read him a story.

He's a very helpful little kid.

Uh oh... AGAIN?!

Seriously next gen. is going to only have 1 or 2 kids per heir (if I can help it).

Louise: So its a good thing we bought a bigger house...

Louise: ...because I'm pregnant.

Louise: What do you think about that? ...Kevin?
Kevin: .....

Kevin: So, have you read any good books lately?
Louise: .....

Well, I guess I lost track of time and last minute I had to teach the twins to walk, talk, and use the potty. Thank goodness for smart milk! (I can't find the pic of Drew learning to walk, or Alexa learning to talk, but they did)

eh, this post is somewhat boring (as was the last one). I'm not as funny and witty as I wish I was. Forgive me?

With the money that Marylena brought, I was able to add onto the shack!

Yay, the toilet is no longer in the kitchen :D

So Marylena and Matthieu are layin' on the bed cuddlin' when Mary breaks it to Matt she doesn't want to have sex until she's married.

He loves her, so he's okay with that.

And then it is of course, make-over time!

Aww, aren't they just too cute?!

LOVE

Matty can't wait any longer, he proposes!

If you can't tell, she said yes :]

We have the ceremony right then, on the front lawn.

They exchange vows and rings...

... and seal the deal with a kiss.

Then its Honeymoon time!

Time to start working on Generation Two!

And what do you know? The very next morning we have this...

Followed by a pop!

The house get yet another lil make-over.

Matty chats it up with his unborn baby.

He's so excited to be a daddy!

It just brings to two of them closer together :]

Later that night when Marylena was sleeping...

she went into labor, oh noez XO

And, uh Matty?

What happened to being a proud father?!

I was going to end the post there but... nah, here's some more.

Why are you so shocked? The knowledge sim just found out where babies came from??

Marylena passes newborn Nathan Oliver over to Matthieu, and suddenly he's a happy daddy again.

Nathan Oliver has:

dark blue eyes (from both his parents)
light skin (from both his parents)
brown hair (from his dad)

Matt puts the baby in his crib and goes to bed. (The baby is in the Master Bedroom for now cuz I never know when he's crying and I can't check his needs)

Well first thing in the morning Nate gives mom a wakeup call, and he needs to be changed.

And then its breakfast time.

(haha, at my breast feeding hack!)

Even though I absolutely hate them, I hired a nanny.

And she was ugly, so she got a makeover.

The salon business was sort of being neglected. I mean, there were quite a few successful make-overs...

...but there were also an equal amount of unsuccessful make-overs :\

So we closed the salon and opened a bakery!

Mmmm, smells good :D

Both Marylena and Matthieu had a day off so they made at least one of every kind of bake good they knew how to make.

After a long day in the kitchen, it was time to relax.

And possibly make more babies, because one isn't enough.

Speaking of which, it was time for Nathan to leave baby-ness and enter toddler-hood.

I have more of the Roberts Family coming up, but until then, here's my newest Legacy - the Oliver Family!~♥

This here is our founder, Matthieu Oliver and his stats.

And this is Matthieu's kitty, Zoe! Aww, they love each other :D

here is the little shack they call home, with an attached salon. I used a 3x4 lot because anything larger would be SO SLOW in my game. So I was able to have wallpaper & floor. (yay)

First things first, here's Matthieu studying his cooking because I'm scared of fires.

And then its time to find a job. There's nothing in the Criminal career track, but we need money, so Matty gets a job in the Education career.

The welcome wagon arrives, and its time to start giving out free make-overs!

Matthieu: When I'm finished, you're going to look fabulous!

Matthieu: Oh! Uh...
Nina: What? What's wrong?

Nina: OMG, what have you done to me? *cries*

Aww, poor Matty. Better luck next time?

So, after that failure, I'm thinking we might have better luck finding Matthieu a mate.

Since I'm still new to NL, I thought maybe if I waited in the hot tub, somebody might join me after a while.

I was very wrong.

So we go downstairs to the dance floor and take a look around. Seems, Matty has spotted something he likes.

Here she is, Marylena Stratton. And my goodness she's gorgeous!

They start talking and things are going quite well.

So I have Matt ask her out on a date. She had the want to dine out, and here we are.

It was getting near the end of the date, and I just had to know how much money she had (we need the muneez!)

After a 'good' date with Marylena, Matty takes a shower and heads to bed.

Mmmm... lovely♥

The next day Matthieu has off. He drinks an orange smoothie for breakfast. Yum yum :P

The mail comes, and among all the bills there is a love note from Marylena! It reads:

I had fun, I hope you know
That dating you was good
And if you wonder
"Should I ask again?"

aww, how sweet!!

While trying to rack up some creativity points, the phone rings.

Its Marylena asking Matty out on a group outting.

She invited, like, eight other friends along. I don't know if that's normal, but that seems like a heck of a lot to me.

Anyway, I decide everybody should go bowling because I haven't tried that aspect of NL out yet.

Um... awkward?

But Yay! he still managed to hit some pins!

Matthieu is quite happy with himself :]

Now its time to focus on Marylena.

Which leads to this sweet kiss... ♥

Though when they try slow dancing... Matty, watch were you put your hands!

He then tried to kiss her, and she shoved him and walked away. Poor boy. He just loves her so much!

Matthieu: Why doesn't she love me back?! *cries*

When we get back home, its skilling time. First a few logic points.

And then fitness <3

Matt takes a break to give Zoe some attention.

And then he invites Marylena over for a date.

Zoe: Is that my new mommy?

Matty is bold giving Marylena a giant smooch!~♥

Followed by some butt grabbin' (which she seems to like this time around?)

And then, a very very strange massage...

FINALLY they become best friends.

They then make out, and Marylena moves in.

She brought $14,953 with her, plus a bunch of junk that I was able to sell for muneez :]

Here's a house photoshoot of the SIM version of my own home. Someday I plan to getting around to making my family, though since I want us to look as real as possible, I'm being very lazy about it. Anyway, until then, here is our house. I tried my best to make it as close to the real thing as possible, clutter and all (though in RL we have plenty more clutter XD). There are a few areas where I had to be creative, because our real furniture isn't in the game, but I'm happy with the turn-out.

Generation 2.0

There was another family portrait taken on the front porch of the new house.

And Aiden grew up without me realizing it. Here's the family having dinner while Kevin is (as always) at work.

I gave Louise and Nikki makeovers again because it had been a long while since I had last played this house, and I wanted to use some hair and makeup I downloaded on them.

When Kevin came home, he was happy to announce he had gotten a promotion! No more late night hours for him.

Uh-oh, again?

"Hey honey, good thing you got that promotion becuase I think I'm pregnant again."

And then it was time for Devon's birthday.

Nikki helped him blow out his candles.

This is what he looked like, and then I gave him a makeover too. (I really hate that baby hair)

Kevin gushes, "Louise, look at our family!"

And that same night, Louise pops! (And she think's she fat)

Meanwhile, Nikki was working hard at school and finally she was able to bring home an A+ report card.

Her parents rewarded her with her own car!

Even though Louise can hardly bend over, she helps Devon learn to walk.

The night the family has the Headmaster over for dinner, Louise goes into labor!

the Headmaster: "What is all this screaming about!?"

Even though it was a little unexpected and akward, the Headmaster had a great time (99/90 points) and Nikki & Aiden were accepted to private school.

Allow me to introduce you to Alexa Roberts. Just like her brothers before her, she has brown hair and blue eyes.

And this is Andrew (Drew) Roberts, Alexa's twin brother! He also has brown hair and blue eyes.

Louise is better at being there for Alexa and Andrew than she was with Aiden and Devon. She regrets missing out on their babyhood, and she doesn't want to miss a thing with these two.

She showers them with love! ♥

Even Kevin does a pretty good job with the babies.

But the twins don't get ALL the attention. (isn't he so cute the way he's streatching!!)

Louise doesn't want any of her children to feel like they've been forgotten.

She's best friends with Nikki, Aiden, and Devon. Kevin is best friends with Nikki and Aiden, and he's close with Devon.

Devon really likes his daddy, he thinks he's a lot of fun!

Nikki got herself a job (in the athletic career track), and she broght a friend home from work.

I think she really likes him and wants to be more than just friends!

At the birthday party, Devon grew up by himself (with platinum aspiration). Nikki was right there to congratulate him!

Dad brought Alexa to the cake and mom brought Drew.

Though Nikki helped Alexa grow up.

And she helped Drew too.

Then it was time for presents!

Devon got a telescope, Alexa got the xylaphone, and Andrew got the shape/blocks toy.
YAY!! :D

Legacy | The Roberts Family [Generation 1.0]

When I first installed TS2 (and PETS), I made the Roberts family as a 'practice family'. People who I could use to understand the game better, and how everything worked. I didn't expect to fall in love with them, and want to keep them around for generations to come! Since I didn't understand the game, and didn't expect to keep the Roberts family for very long, I have very few photos from the begining of their story. Therefore, this first post is a summary of thier lives thus far, and what all took place before the move to a bigger, better house.

Generation 1.0

BEWARE: extremely LOW QUALITY photos ahead. you have been warned!

This is Louise, and her boyfriend Kevin. Louise is a romance sim, while Kevin is a family sim. They moved in together without really knowing each other all too well.

They really enjoyed each other's company, and everything was going great.

Louise coudn't deny the feeling Kevin gave her. She had never felt anything like that before, though she was slightly scared of it.

One night at dinner, Kevin asked Losie where she felt the relationship was going. She didn't really know what to tell him. She just smiled and said "Everything is perfect! I've never been so happy in my entire life."

That was partly true. Obviously since Louise didn't understand her feelings toward Kevin, things couldn't exactly be perfect. But she really was happy. And as she started to think about it more, she realized the reason she was so happy was because of Kevin.

That night they had some romantic alone time in the bedroom with cuddling, kissing, and woohoo!

Which lead to this surprise!

Excited about being a mother, Louise decided to adopt a child as well. This is Nikki.

They both instantly got along. Nikki never knew her birth mother, and she really liked Louise.

Sooner than anyone had realized, it was time for the baby to come.

This is baby Aiden Roberts. He has his daddy's hair and his mommy's eyes.

Louise was proving pretty good at the whole mothering thing.

Finally Kevin thought it was time to marry his babymama. Louis accepted his proposal, and they invited their friends over to share their special day with them.

The rooftop was the perfect place to hold the ceremony! The view was gorgeous, and there was plenty of room.

Nikki was ecstatic to have a mother, a brother, AND a father now!

Then it was time for baby Aiden's birthday.

Louise helped him grow up...

...into a very handsom little boy.

Next thing she knew, Louise was preggers again!

Nikki and her mom ate dinner together every night (Kevin was working), and they quickly become best friends.

Kevin, though being a family sim, was not the greatest father. When he was supposed to be watching Aiden, he'd just set him on the floor and play video games instead.

Roofus, the family dog, was a better babysitter than Kevin was. And Aiden loved Roofus.

This is a better photo of Roofus. Louise and Kevin adopted him shortly before finding out Louise was pregnant with Aiden.

Most of the time Nikki was left by herself in her room. She liked playing dolls the most.

Shortly after Nikki grew up into a teen. Unfortunatly it was the day they had the headmaster over to get Nikki into a private school. With Louise's mood swings, Kevin gone at work, and a screaming toddler, the headmaster was not impressed. Aww, poor Nikki.

Uh oh! The baby is coming!

"HELP! THE BABY!!" Louise screamed.

Nikki and Kevin ran upstairs as fast as they could to welcome baby Devon Roberts to the family. He had his father's hair and his mom's eyes. (I've come to realize that brown hair is dominant over red hair, and blue eyes are dominant over green, so all the Roberts' children of this generation will have brown hair & blue eyes) Nikki also dyed her hair brown because the red was driving me crazy.

Louise passed the baby to Nikki right away, and she had a mental breakdown. Luckily the doctor came a fixed her right up.

Louise felt really bad about ignoring the children. She didn't want Aiden to think his mommy didn't love him, becouse she did. She was just so messed up ever since Devon was born.

After just one little squeaze from that precious little boy, Louise knew everything would be okay as long as she had her children. From that moment on, being a mother was everything to her.

Kevin was trying to be a good dad too, though he wasn't sure where to begin. 'How do you hold a baby?' he wondered.

He quickly figured it out, and realized how fun babies can be.

Though you have to be careful when tossing them up into the air...

And thus marks the end of chapter 1 in the Roberts' family's life.

Asylum Challenge | Resident Evil Style [Part One]

Hello, and welcome! This here is my first post at sim_obsessed (though its far from my first project...) I originally started the Asylum challenge with different sims, but they were all really boring, and I kept forgetting who was 'me' so I gave up on them. Then madame_ugly posted her Asylum challenge at thesims2, and she used various celebs which I thought was an excellent idea, and then this popped into my head. :D If you aren't familiar with Resident Evil, there will be some descriptions of both the real characters and the sim characters in this first part. Lets start now...

Sarah Marie aka ME!

I rolled knowledge, and I don't remember my personality points XD I forgot to write that all down. I also forgot I had the hack to allow any kind of LTW no matter what aspiration so... my sim wants to raise 20 puppies and/or kittens. Thank goodness I also have a hack to allow more than 8 sims/pet per family so... it can be done! I just don't really wanna.

Claire Redfield

Claire rolled Knowledge also. I really love her, and I think she's gorgeous! I will definately continue to play her after this challenge is over (if she doesn't *knocks on wood* die before then...) In the video game, she fell in love with Steve. I'm hoping that something might happen in the game too XD Oh well, its too soon to tell.

Jill Valentine

Jill rolled Popularity. She is probably my least favorite character in the RE series, but possibly one of my favorite sims in the house (how that happened, I dunno). She's pretty quiet and spends most of her time cleaning up after everybody. You won't hear me complaining.

Rebecca Chambers

Becca rolled Knowledge and as far as I can tell, she's taking it very seriously. All she ever does is look through the telescope and read books, keeping to herself most of the time. The real Rebecca was very smart, and very shy so its looking like her sim version turned out perfect.

Carlos Oliveira

¡muy caliente! Carlos is a Family sim. In real life (the game) I'm sure he'd like to start a family with Jill. They'd make beautiful babies! Carlos is extremely social, though he does hog the bathroom quite often makeing the other sims very upset with him. But, in the end it seems that they always forgive him. He's a smooth talker, that Carlos.

Chris Redfield

Chris rolled Romance and this scared me since Claire is supposed to be his sister. Even though the rules say the sims are supposed to be unrelated, I cringed at the thought of Chris and Claire hooking up, so I made them siblings. Chris is ALWAYS the center of attention. He's always telling stories and jokes with the other sims gathered around him.

Leon Scott Kennedy

Leon rolled Wealth and seems to be doing okay for a broke dude. I'm really upset by how little my Leon sim looks like the real Leon, but whatcha gunna do? It was a downloded sim, and I was too lazy (Leon was the last sim I made) to bother starting from scratch. I just kinda tweaked him a bit, but I don't think it helped much. Anyway, sim Leon is kinda socially inept. He doesn't know when to shut up, or he says the wrong thing at the wrong times. I really feel bad for him, I love Leon the most probably (in real life). I have it in my mind that we have an 'older brother, younger sister' type of relationship, but I'd be open to something else for the sake of the story. ;]

Steve Burnside

Steve rolled Wealth as well. I have a feeling he might crack sooner than Leon though. If he doesn't look like the 'real Steve' photo, I'm sorry. I had to make him from scratch and that's the only photo I have of him. I was (again) too lazy to search for a better pic. Steve's been sleeping at odd hours, and so I don't think the other sims know him as well as they know the rest of the household. When he is awake, he's ususally looking through the telescope (when Rebecca isn't).

So on with the challenge!

This is the lovely one bedroom, two-half baths(?) home the RE gang will be staying in. By two-half baths, I mean one room has the toilet and another has the tub. Sometimes the simmies get confused and when they want to take a shower they get mad at the person on the toilet when the tub is free. But at least there haven't been any major problems.

The first thing I did, I adopted this little cutie right here. I named her Huggles (don't ask why). She has an all black "twin" who I plan to adopt next, and her name will be Tuggles. Perhaps I was thinking about Care Bears when coming up with these names?

Huggles is an extremely popular member of our 'family'. Everyone loves her, and she's well taken care of.

It was time for breakfast and I got a bit scared. That is until I realized nobody had enough cooking points to make anything other than cereal. I suppose it tasted really good, the way I'm gulping it down like that. I have better table manners in RL. Honest :]

Even though it was barely even used, Claire just had to wipe down the countertop. Fine by me, as long as I don't have to do it.

And then Jill, following Claire's example, collected everyone's empty bowls and did the dishes. Looks like I won't have any problems keeping the place neat and tidy. Thank goodness.

Looks like we're already starting to line up for the bathroom....

We have some guests come by to welcome us to the neighborhood. Rebecca instantly bonded with them, which really surprised me. Especially Crea right there. I have a feeling those girls might end up being really good friends.

Chris was apparently lecturing Steve about something in the bathroom. I'm not quite sure what, I missed it. But in the end they hugged. Maybe Steve tried to make a move on Claire, and Chris was just being a protective older brother? I could only hope.

Somebody is almost ALWAYS on this thing. And they stay out there for hours using it. I had no idea the telescope was that exciting.

Chris didn't leave the bathroom after his talk/moment with Steve. The neighbor (Neil?) didn't seem to mind, though. Chris, you're a freak!

Then I noticed Rebecca stading off to the side, with this dazed look on her face. She just stood there for who knows how long. Apparently she does that from time to time. I wonder what she's thinking?

Lunch time! As Leon make's his TV dinner, I realize I put the stoves over the counters (with moveObjects on) and it looks weird. But whatever, as long as the stoves work, right? Plus now they can use the stovetops to cook on and as counters too.

This is about as much interaction I've seen between Claire and Chris, thus far. It does make me a little sad. I wish they had a better relationship ingame. In RL their relationship is like best friends/I'd give my life for you.

And wow, I just realized how LITTLE they look like one another.

I told you Chris was the center of attention. And there's Jill, cleaning up everybody's plates. These guys are getting so predictable. I'm not sure if I like knowing their every moves.

And of course, after washing those dirty dishes, the sink must be filthy. So it needs a major scrub down.

And the counters/stovetops as well.

I honestly think our neighbors have more problems then us. Here is Evan Lehman starring at the blank TV screen. And he sat there for hours, just staring at it. Weirdo.

Speaking of weirdos, this is Evan's wife, Lila. Pretty, ain't she? (And that Pets Patch that's supposed to fix glitchy accessories does not work)

She's mad at Carlos for spying on her with the telescope. Apparently it points right at her house. But really, do you have the time to come over here and yell at the neighbors Lila? You have six toddlers at home that need your attention! (the raising sextuplets challenge)

Well, it looks like Carlos isn't going to just take that from you, huh? Good for you Carlos.

As nighttime comes rolling in, things get a bit more crazy. Claire, honey, the bathroom is free! Yes the toilet is disgusting and needs to be cleaned, but its open for you to use. Nobody is in the other bathroom either.

Here I am getting my studying on. I want to be able to cook better meals, so everyone will love me :]

And of course, here's Becca. I swear, if she doesn't have all her logic points yet, she's very very close.

And poor Leon is driving Carlos crazy. It's obvious Carlos doesn't want to talk to him anymore, but Leon doesn't seem to understand.

It seems the trashcan outside is more interesting than Leon.

Awwe, poor Leon.

Finally the bathroom is free and I can take a shower!

Everybody else takes baths. LONG long baths. Chris was the only one not to take a bubble bath, but he still was in there a really long time.

STEVE!

Looks like somebody stinks.

Its one of our neighbors. You probably should bet going home now.

But what's this? He's trying to steal Huggles!! I had to use 'moveObjects on' to get her away from him which caused this little glitch...

When I put her on the floor, she was on her back and she wouldn't move. Unfortunately you can't control the pets. I thought maybe if I had my sim pick her up, that would help. But she kept canceling out the action. So I put Huggles in her hand via moveObjects and I held on to her, but I couldn't interact with her. I was freaking out at this point thinking I would have to quit without saving (and I hadn't saved since I moved everybody in), but luckily I figured out what to do. I had my simmie pick up a book and put it away. When she was in the middle of putting the book on the shelf, I paused the game, took the book from her hand and replaced it with Huggles. When I unpaused the game, Huggles snapped back to the floor and ran off to her food. I don't know if it was my "plan" that worked or if Huggles was just very hungry and she snapped herself out of the glitch, but from now on, I'm saving so much more often!

Meanwhile, I tried talking to Leon, hoping I could make him feel better about the mishap with Carlos. It worked for a while, but then I said something wrong and he got upset with me (similar how Carlos responded to him), though I know it wasn't because I was talking too much. I think I gossiped about somebody? Though, he did love my joke :D

This was a strange moment. It doesn't seem like Leon minds too much, but what the heck Carlos?!? I don't remember if this was before or after Carlos got upset with Leon.

Poor Carlos here fell asleep on his feet. All the beds were taken, and so was the couch.

Claire was worried about him. Aww Claire, you're too sweet. I love her.

The next morning. Breakfast time!

Finally the paper is here and I can look for a job! (Yesterday my paper was stolen from Wrath of my Seven Deadly Sins household)

Claire, I don't think that's a very good idea. You should probably go back inside now, away from the telescope. Claire? Are you listening to me?

Nope. She wasn't.

Steve rolls out of bed. (Claire had been up for a while, but I wanted to show their matching PJs!)

He walked right over to the counter and made this poor, pathetic (but so cute) little face! Not having any money is really getting to him. But so soon? Oh dear.

And here Jill finds that somebody had broken the shower, and there is a HUGE puddle on the floor! Oh noes, what's a tidy sim to do?

I try to help her out by fixing the leak myself, though I only have one machanical point, so it was really tough. It took forever.

A little bit later, my carpool arrives. Oh yeah, I'm in the culinary career track. I was promoted this first day too, to drive-thru! (from what though, I don't remember. Whatever you start out as).

Claire, you should have listened to me. I was only trying to help save you from this.

And poor Claire is too nice to fight back.

AWWW! I feel for you, girl. I really do.

Gosh, she's so beautiful. I'm officially jealous.

And to close this post, Leon acting silly. Yes Leon, its a book. And no, Leon, you don't have to read it if you don't want to.
