SO, AFTER MONTHS AND MONTHS OF PLANNING AND UNTOLD EXPENSE AND LIKE, DRAGGING HOME 20m+ BOLTS OF SATIN (150cm width, FML. I AM 153CM TALL) ON THE TRAIN SO EVERYONE COULD HAVE THE SAME FABRICS...

Our Okami shoot finally happened. ♥

AND MAN, WE LOOK SO DAMN AWESOME TOGETHER. *PREEN*


Zodiac order: Rat (Shiina), Cat (kaorismash, Ox (animesque), Tiger (Darren), Rabbit (fire_ban), Dragon (lainex), Snake (self ;Db), Sheep (surealistic_des), Rooster (azdvmc), Amaterasu/Dog (beanie_nup), and Boar (Jenny). (THE HELL IS HORSE (sloobeast) IN THIS PICTURE?)

People kept on asking us if we were a promo for a movie, or something. I guess we did kinda look it, because there were a LOT of us and since these costumes are not practical at all (MOVING. WALKING. THESE... THESE ARE SAD, SAD DREAMS WHEN ONE IS IN A MERMAID SKIRT AND HEELS ;A;) we colonised one of the public bathrooms in Melbourne Central (which, as the name implies, is a shopping centre right in the middle of the CBD) and got dressed, did make up and rolled about there for about three hours. Linc and I also invaded the supermarket because while Amaterasu is mummy to us all, Ox is the defacto leader and ahaha, I am the older sister type ;D WE GOT MAJORLY GAWKED AT BECAUSE, WELL;;;; WELLLL. (We also got an assortment of snacks and cheese&bacon rolls, ahahaaa. *feeds the world*)

Then we moved to the gardens where spent quite a bit of time loitering there, also, while fixing make up and putting in contacts and all the other bits and bobs. :'D

Playing make up artist is pretty fun, though. >:D I wouldn't mind doing it mooooaaar if people would let me near their faces with my paints and potions. EXCEPT FOR HOW, I CANNOT HANDLE DOUBLE EYELIDS. I'm very very much monolidded and over the years, I have developed my own way of doing make up which pretty much involves eyeliner, eyeliner and more eyeliner and people with double eyelids, they... crease and fold differently to my eyes and I get horribly confused about how the line will look with their eyes opened as opposed to closed jkjkawe.


We're like ONE BIG HAPPY SPLOTCH OF RED ON WHITE.

People like to take their wedding photos in the gardens. (This building is where I also sit my University exams so um, loool.) And it's just a really nice, big public space - which means we attracted a lot of attention. People would stop and take photos on their phones and this one lady kinda circled us for five minutes, taking photos until she finally came up and asked to take a photo WITH US. Melbourne is very accepting ♥


SOLO SHOT. 8D LOOKS LIKE MY TOP ACTUALLY HAS FALLEN OFF HERE, BUT I SWEAR TO YOU THAT IT HASN'T PROBABLY.

So, there are... hilarious character bios for these characters that yobanashi translated for me, after I wept and whined and shamelessly begged for her attention because she is my favourite and I ♥ her lots.

My character, Snake, is the weepy oblivious type who cries all the time. Ox has a ridiculous crush on her and can NEVER SAY THE RIGHT THING except, he's the only one who can make her stop crying - by making her crushingly angry.

BASICALLY?

Dragon is also my senile lololol grandfather so we were having nice family style shots AND THEN, I DON'T KNOW, GUYS.

My favourite photo of the entire day was an experiment with the sunset and lighting. ♥

Dramatic! DRAMATIC SILHOUETTES. I am sad we didn't manage to get everyone staggered down the road for it, but, well, it's still a nice effect.

What a ridiculous project. I sewed my costume in about three nights and by the end of it, was feeling so hateful. XD Never made a mermaid skirt before, and the top was just an exercise in frustration which, eventually, ended up with my using a line of masking tape to keep the ruffles together and double sided tape to keep it up. jkjkawe LIFE IS HARD.

BUT WELL.

OKAMI IS LIKE, THE HAPPIEST FAMILY EVER, OKAY.

BONUS: WHACK AN OKAMI.

Because tsundere!Rabbit has a lottttt of rage *cower*
