Well, as you all guys may know, the swine flu alert is now level 5. Over here they suspended classes since Monday and until May 6th. In my university they suspended most activities, including research ones. (In case you wonder, no we don't have installations to analyze viruses) Anyway, only the thesists who are graduating this month are allowed to continue working, under strong precaution measures.

Anyway, it's so annoying to just sit at home like a good girl... Because, of course, going to were lot of people are gathered is risky. And there's still one more week to go... *sighs* I do understand it's to avoid the spreading of the illness, but oh well... I hope it will all pass soon...

So... What do you guys think ? Any comments ? How's it being handled in your areas ? Comments are appreciated. XD

Yay !! I finally have a new layout up !! Thanks so much to reversescollide for the coding. XD I guess I'm just addicted to Flexible Squares style. I just wish I knew why one column appears lower than the other one... *is confused*

Here's a question for the people who like to make LJ layouts: Which free-user styles allow you to use a header, (preferably without using overrides) ?

I've been wanting a header for ages (ever since LJ killed my Camus layout early this year), but I don't know which other styles besides Flexible Squares and Quite Lickable (which is the one I use at sakuramaboroshi allow you to use a header. Or if anyone can direct me to place where I can get a pre-made layout that allows me to customize the colors/header, I would be very grateful to you !! ~~I should learn how to do my own overrides, really...~~

O_______O;;; First post of the week, and week's almost over... Oh well, I have a LONG WEEKEND AHEAD !!!! Wheeeeeeeee !!! Thanks to Mr. Benito Juarez, who did a lot of important things for the country during the mid 1800's (post Mexican Independence). If you're American and study Spanish, you might've heard of him (or maybe not). Anyway, thanks to him, March 21st is a national holiday, but in school they're giving us Monday free too, yay !!! ^__________^ I'm really happy !!

On other news, I want to comment on a few movies I saw lately, so mmmmm, yeah, I think I'll use a cut. It's possible some of you saw them/aren't interested, but in any case, I don't want to spoil everyone...

The Corpse Bride: I watched this one a couple of weeks ago and I totally love it !!! Tim Burton is great at making this kind of movies !! And the storyline is beautiful and bittersweet !! I like Emily a lot, she's cute and funny !! I would have chosen her any day over Victoria, because she's cute too, but seems to be REALLY boring... But well, that can be expected from the family she has...

Nirgendwo in Afrika: In English it's called Nowhere in Africa, and I think it's a really good movie. Of course your typical German movie storyline comes it: Judish family moving out of Germany right before WWII, but the rest is wonderful !! The scenes in Africa are lovely !!! And the little girl is so cute, and really intelligent, and sweet. XD She was (unlike her mother >.<) able to see past all the racial differences, and became good friends with their Kenyan cook, and the children of the tribe people that worked in the farm her father was helping to manage. It's one of the foreign movies (as in non-Hollywood made) that I've liked the most. XD

Brothers Grimm: ZOMG !!! This is such a sucky movie !! It sounded really cool in the trailer and all, and I watched and was like: wtf... The story idea isn't THAT bad, but something in the way it was done makes it look really fake... And Matt Damon, well he isn't the best actor in the world... Nor is Monica Belluci, as beautiful as she is... So yeah, bad actor choice, bad special effects, bad movie in general... If you love the Grimm fairytales you might want to avoid this movie... It's seriously disappointing...

On more about movies... I still want to see Brokeback Mountain. I hope I'll get to see it this weekend, maybe I'll finally convince someone to go with me. XD
