Love how you’re playing with the sensory experience of horror through vibrations rather than just sound. Gives it a very internal dimension. 🫨

I’m really glad you caught that!

Losing sound forced me to think about horror differently… not as something you hear, but something you feel before you understand it.

Vibrations. Pressure. The sense that the world shifted slightly when no one else noticed.

That’s where a lot of Silent Horrors lives.

And sometimes vibrations are the first warning…

It’s so cool you can explore what it’s like tapping into that 6th sense we all have, but from a heightened perspective!

That’s actually a really interesting way to describe it.

After I lost sound, my body started noticing different signals.

Vibrations through floors.

Pressure shifts in rooms.

The way certain sounds still exist physically in the air even if I can’t “hear” them anymore.

It sounds strange, but it really does feel like a kind of extra sensory channel sometimes.

I can still recognize certain songs just from how they vibrate through speakers or walls. And when I write or sing music, I feel the structure of it through rhythm and pressure more than sound itself.

So when I started writing horror, that experience crept in naturally.

Because horror isn’t always the scream in the dark.

Sometimes it’s the feeling that something just moved through the room…

and no one else noticed.

That’s why a lot of Silent Horrors stories focus on people who live slightly outside “normal” perception: deaf people, queer people, night workers, insomniacs, people who already exist a little off the main path of the world.

Those tend to be the people who notice the cracks first.

And in this universe…

sometimes the cracks are noticing back.
