Kitten Central

We put them in the carrier last night with a little food and water. They screamed for about an hour, then fell asleep. This morning, I pulled them out (their usual routine: they hiss once, then go, "well fine. go ahead.") I wiped them lightly with a lukewarm damp washcloth to simulate cleaning by heir momma. After I set out new food, weaning formula, and water, the gray one eagerly lapped up water with me watching, and a little bit of the formula. I'm not worried about him at all when it comes to food; he's even shown some interest in the solid food. The more mottled one has not eaten or drunk in front of me, so I fed her some water with the bottle (she resisted, but got some in her). Hopefully she'll take more once I leave for a bit.

I'm going to start putting them in the carrier when I leave the room for a stretch of time; they're in the "I want to explore everything" phase, which includes climbing the TV rack. They are both meowin' something fierce, and loudly. I am hoping they'll chill a bit with that.

Now: I gotta eat something, maybe take a quick dip in the pool, and get to working.
