Lazy Saturday

Well, we'd planned to leave early for a hike today. But considering we were up far, far too late playing hilarious drinking games last night, we didn't open our eyes until almost 11. We'd fallen asleep in our clothes.

So instead, we had a coupley sort of day. A nice warm shower, a leisurely breakfast in bed watching Planet Earth, and then errands. We stopped in some nice shops in Nob Hill, acquiring more massage oil and various sundries, and then a trip to Mama's Minerals. I needed to pick up some odds and ends, and also pick up a coprolite for my brother, Daniel. You see, Melissa and I have been doing the pen pal thing, and I'm sending her some shinies next week, but I can't very well neglect the other sibling. And really, what says love more than 25 million year old turtle poop?

Browsing their fossil selection also gave me some ideas. I was thinking about maybe doing a few ammonite pieces. Or maybe dangly trilobite earrings. That could be cool. I also want to buy some nice turquoise while I'm out here. I don't tend to use turquoise a lot, but the best turquoise in the country is available out here. I don't want to miss out.

We came home, relaxed some, and ended up taking a glorious sunlit nap. Everything was just right, and we curled up and fell asleep. Woke up and had some dinner, and now I've got some work to do. Photography starts tomorrow.

Oh! And! There's a paper and stationery that I'd never heard of until I got out here, but I am absolutely loving their designs. Check it out-- Papaya!
