Simple pleasures
I'm sitting on my big comfy red couch, enjoying a big mug of tea. I have to shower soon, but for the moment, the afternoon is mine. I've been spending time on Etsy, searching out the right gemstones for next month's update-- I want more Springtime colors, even though Winter has only now started. Pinks and greens. Chalcedony, rose quartz, chrysoprase, maybe some golden rutilated quartz. This is most likely brought on by the stargazer lilies opening on my kitchen table, and by the stargazer lily candle burning nearby. They smell heavenly.
I've been also looking at gorgeous matted prints that I'd like to have one day. J and I were cuddled up this morning talking about what our house will look like. Certainly nothing like our current living spaces, cluttered and stacked and growing stagnant with Too Much Stuff in cramped quarters. We need a place where we can call our own and spread things out. Something earthy and colorful and whimsical. So I am bookmarking a few places for decor--
Wall decor from Decorette, Littleputbooks, Designfruit, Courage, My Love, Alicia Bock. Magical little wire trees from Sixth And Elm. Maybe a faerie door from Once Upon a Time Design.
But in the meanwhile, I have been enjoying some simple pleasures. Good black tea. Flowers. Fine paper-- I've just reordered my favorite personal stationery along with odds and ends from my favorite Etsy sellers-- a vibrant journal and Idalia tags from Field and Sea, a few cards from Crankbunny, and the 'Love, India' flat notecards from FreshlySkweezed.
Tonight, I'll be serving Vosges drinking chocolate with my new favorite find-- handmade marshmallows by Whimsy and Spice. These things are heaven.
