Blessed Samhain!
-- Happy Halloween, Blessed Samhain (and Blessed Beltane to those down South)!
-- Today I am totally dressed like an off-duty bellydancer for my last day as a full time employee of Direct Dimensions. I've been passing out my new business cards, which look freakin' awesome.
-- I actually got some work done last night; I was a little rusty diving back in, but all things considered I'll take two completed pieces that I'm satisfied with.
-- Oatmeal with pumpkin butter swirled in. Mmmm.
-- I slept through my medication alarm early this morning. As a result, my jaw is rockin' out right now. Bah.
-- Am compiling a mental list of candies I can eat tonight. There will be no drinking. :(
-- Am also scheming Winter Update stuff. I think I'm going to make an Ice Queen 2008 set.
-- Okay, BPAL. Seriously. We do not need more death/funereal blooms scents. I've been really disillusioned with BPAL lately... allow me to put on my granny panties and talk about a time where LE's were relatively rare, and very seldom topped 5 per update. They were all unique and distinct. I feel like since the first Carnival Noir, there has been such an emphasis on giant LE lines that a) I can't keep up and get overwhelmed b) the general catalogue gets totally ignored and c) it's starting to get terribly repetitive and somewhat boring. I'm tired of reading reviews that say "it's just like X and Y and Z, but a teeny little bit different." They probably have their reasons... profitability, and they do donate to a lot of great causes. But it does seem to be getting gimmicky and just not as special anymore. I worry that the artistry is suffering, and it sucks to say that because I love Beth and the labbies. Fnergh. I think I just need to stick to my 'oldies but goodies' for awhile.
