Angel: The Magic Bullet

Just a few thoughts, in no particular order...

- First off, fan-glee due to Wes's "I've kidnapped him before." Anf his cutting Connor and the skin contact- I tell you, I would love to see a scene solely between Connor and Wes because hoo boy, do they have some issues to work out, or what?

- Fred lips! Lips of Fred! On Angel! My eyes, my eyes!

- The dialogue was a bit strange... Fred's in particular. "Suss off?" Since when is she British? Or from the 40's?

- Creamcheese? Ugh. I may not crave a bagel tomorrow.

- When Angel kissed Coma!Cordy on the forehead, that was the first time I ever believed that he actually loved her. And then they fucked it all up with the hand twitch. God, I hate fakeouts like that.

- Hehe. I liked "The CIA planted a chip in my brain" guy.

- The bullet thing? So cool. And I thought the whole scene was very well acted, especially on DB's part. You really felt the weight of his loss when he questioned why they shouldn't believe the lie anyway.

- Anybody else notice that as soon as Wes was "infected," his voice immediately dropped to it's Dark!Wes register? I love how AD works in details like this that are so subtle but immediately change the tone of the character.

- I would like a little more Gunn, please.

- Lorne was awesome in this episode. And the whole "my heart is in my ass" thing? Call me inappropriate, but makes sense. :) Or possibly- sex must be incredibly painful.

- No! No more Barry Manilow! And it's good to know that Connor inherited his dad's gift for song.

- I call that Connor has been able to see Jasmine's real face all along. I mean, if Cordy's blood un-does the spell, why wouldn't Connor's? And jesus, that makes the whole "you're so beautiful" thing infinately creeptacular.

- God, Wes's shirt was ugly.

- Once again, Gina Torres is so beautiful. Almost makes me wish that she wasn't all evil- I want to believe her almost as much as AI does.

- Wait. Jasmine touched Lorne, Connor, and Angel in this ep? Does it not affect those who are part-demon, or does she have to willingly inflict pain to cause deformity? Hmm.

- Biker guy getting naked? Thanks a lot, ME. And I love how casually she told Conner that she ate them.

- Conner listens to Streisand. Damn, I love ME's sense of humor.

Overall, I liked the episode. It was well paced, and Fred wasn't nearly as annoying as I would have thought she was. It got better as the ep wore on, and I'm looking forward to next week. It was a solid plot ep, and Jeff Bell did a good job making sure we still recognized the characters in their stages of brainwashing. I approve.
