Bottom line-- Biden wasn't at 100% here, and frankly, the only thing Palin had to do to be considered a contender was not be a blithering idiot, but dude, Biden rocked. He had the specifics down, he answered the questions posed, and he managed to be passionate without being angry. Palin, on the other hand, repeatedly circumnavigated the questions by repeating "maverick" and refused to give specifics on how the McCain-Palin ticket differs from Bush's policies. I think Palin will play big with people who are out of touch with issues and vote only on perceived character, but for the rest of us... thank god for Joe Biden.
