Sleepy Wednesday
Virgo:: In Terry Pratchett's book Wyrd Sisters, there's a passage in which he talks about how the sun conspires with the forest to pump millions of gallons of sap hundreds of feet from the ground up into the sky. And it all happens "in one great systolic thump too big and loud to be heard." That's the kind of activity I recommend for you in the coming weeks, Virgo. Collaborate with the source of all life -- the physical sun, if that's your preference, or God or Goddess, if that works better for you -- to pull off a huge movement of lifeblood that brings sustenance from below to above.
This is a little bit interesting in that more of my attention has been turned above of late. I had a conversation with a friend about two weeks ago about a specific Goddess-- one whom I'd always had an interest in, and to a degree felt drawn to. But no big whoomph! signs that there was anything like patronage afoot. Since that conversation, I've felt a push to go back and learn more, to take a second look. And I just got a jewelry commission for that very same Goddess. And a lot of energy goes into the sacred commissions, working with a deity's energy to spur creation... this just might be a "hey you! pay attention!" sort of deal.
Sleepy. Only got 6 hours of shuteye last night. Made two necklaces, two pairs of earrings. I've been doing cascade necklaces lately, focusing on the beauty of one stone. I did the second in the series last night-- peacock blue apatite. Very pretty. Also did a fun little hot pink briolette necklace. Only a couple of more pieces left to go before the update next week.
There is also a necklace I am DYING to make, but the materials are at least $120, and so affording that is probably a month or so off with all the other stuff I've got going on. Flawless Swiss blue topaz, smooth cut, fit for royalty, strung with moonstone with accents of pearl. Excuse me, I have gem lust.
Also had a great dinner with Timmy at Bonefish. Good fish, better salad, fantastic lemongrass martini, and delicious brownie. The usual fun banter. :)
Tonight: more work. You're surprised?
