LJFairy: Help!
I keep getting blue-screened on the laptop. Earlier today, I noticed "MProtector" installed on my computer. I googled it, and it's malware/fake spyware, so I uninstalled it. And now about every 10 mins or so I keep getting a blue screen mentioning an error (practically a different one every time) telling me to uninstall any recently-installed software, which I did. MProtector appears to be completely gone. Nothing else was recently-installed, even according to my add/remove hardware list.
And yet I keep getting blue-screened. Honestly, it's not a blue screen I've ever seen, and it's not consistent with the language I've seen in previous Windows blue screens. It seems... a bit more layman-like? I don't know how to put my finger on it. But it just doesn't seem right to me.
Also, irritatingly, it's changed my desktop background to THIS and it won't let me change it back:
Anyhow, I'm running AVG and Ad Aware (both fully updated) right now.
So... anybody have any suggestions?
