Hmmm.
Virgo::In the ancient text known as the Sutra of Forty-two Chapters, the Buddha is quoted as saying, "My doctrine is to think the thought that is unthinkable, to practice the deed that is unperformable, to speak the speech that is inexpressible, and to be trained in the discipline that is beyond discipline." Those happen to be your tough assignments in the coming week, Virgo. You will actually have a good chance at succeeding if you refuse to be excessively sober and serious in your approach. The more fun you have and the more playful your style is, the greater the likelihood is that you will pull off subtle yet spectacular feats that may seem impossible to more no-nonsense people.
So, my assignment for this week is to be like Buddha. That's a tall order. At least one part of this charge is familiar to me: I'm no stranger to (attempting) to express that which is inexpressible-- why else would one write, attempting to document the nuances of an experience? The rest, though, is a bit obtuse, but I can promise not to be excessively serious.
Tonight, I attempt to take pictures for my long-overdue update. It's about 25 items. Maybe more; I haven't officially checked. I have one commission to complete before starting on the next set of Timekeeper's Daughter pieces... not a lot of those this month, and I want to make more clockwork chokers. Anyhow, the NRE is starting to settle to a level where I can focus on something else for a bit. I'm pleasantly busy this summer but not necessarily overbooked, but I will have to make an effort to focus my attention more regularly on the biz, 'cause I inevitably say yes to more things than I mean to. But there are festivals and weekend trips to the ocean and Bellypalooza and TribeOriginal... and faire season begins. And, and, and. I'm undecided about the Zafira workshop in July due to budgetary stuff and scheduling bits, but I want to see the show. I'm probably not going to do Raqs America, despite the workshop I would like to take with Zoe Jakes on 6/21-- anyone local going? So much good dance stuff going on; so little time and money.
Re: Faerie Fest-- looks like I'll be camping out this weekend, and volunteering both days. Will officially note this on the website tonight, Frank, so expect a call figuring out the deets.
I want to be home right now.
