Stuff.
First and foremost,
tennyo put the biggest smile on my face yesterday. I got home, and I had a package waiting on the step. I opened it up, and in Hello Kitty stationery, big letters said "Asshole Day Emergency Kit." Inside: several LUSH Jingle Spells ballistics, yummy tea, Apple Spice lip balm (yay, I love the tea balms... I have the Chai one, too!). Sarah totally rocks my world. Thank you so much, babe. And I know I'm like super behind on my emails and owe you one, but I've also had something else in mind for you that's been percolating/waiting for the right materials. :)
Secondly: work was both good and challenging last night. The good: I got halfway through the "Fire from the Middle Kingdom" necklace. The bad: I ran out of oxidized wire, and then realized that I need to re-do some links in a different color metal. The good: I did a really intricate dangly labradorite earring. The bad: it was so intricate I only did one. The good: I did a pair of really pretty chandelier earrings in gold vermeil, pearl, and genuine ruby. The bad: I went through three drafts before I found something I really liked. Mostly, yesterday was trial-and-error day.
Thirdly: I'm wearing my Phoenix Steamworks tee today! I'm usually not a teeshirt person, but this one is pretty neat. Comfy, too. Undecided on the scent-- it's kind of masculine on me, like a metallic cologne. And it's odd, but I can kind of smell steam. This reminds me of one of my ex-boyfriends... he had a scent I could never quite pinpoint. At the time I thought it was worn or damp leather. Now I recognize it to be metal. I think he'd be oddly pleased by that. At any rate, I've applied it over a base of amber to warm it up, and I like it this way. I think if I put it with a sugary scent, it'd be eau de Kaylee.
Fourthly: Lost Friending Meme!
Fifthly: Work is making me headdesk today. Scratch that, one of my coworkers is making me headdesk. It's like working with a fifth grader who makes a lot more money than me. Man, that's depressing.
