Aaaaaargh.
Ohhh man. It's gonna be one of those days. One of those my first choice of shirt had a hole in it, got a big zit on my cheek, wind knocked out the internet, smeared my liquid liner, couldn't find my wallet days. Well, I found my wallet. After much searching. And I have a bajillion things to do today to get ready for the weekend. Ah well, at least I get dinner with Tim. And a new episode of Lost. But I'll still be lucky if I'm asleep by 1:30.
Re: last night's BPAL update-- Tiki themes never really hooked me, and fruity scents are really ones I like to smell before buying. So this update didn't really grab me. What DID grab me was the Trading Post's Phoenix Steamworks teaser. The shirt design is cute (my first shirt purchase), and the scent... Burnished gold and oiled bronze notes with Abramelin incense and sage. Yep, ordered 'em. I know what I'll be wearing as I create the next set of Timekeeper's Daughter pieces. In general, I'd like to add more steampunk influence to my wardrobe... but things like long leather dusters are 'spensive, no? And leather riding boots. And pretty much everything. So... I'll start with a tee-shirt, k?
Commissions are coming along. Yesterday was not QUITE as productive as I'd hoped. I couldn't pack orders 'cause out internet was down for the bulk of the evening, and those #$*&# mailers are still not here. I keep telling myself that reinforcements are on the way, but I am peeved about it, man. I'm consoling myself with the gems I get to work with once commissions are done, and I'm also bidding on more watch hands for more earrings.
Trying to stay positive. I just have to make it 'til 6pm tomorrow, then I have a hell of a fun weekend ahead.
