On friendsitting.

Today, I got friend-sat. This is like babysitting, but instead with a sick adult. Reason being, I tend to have weird reactions to medication, and with some of the scary crap that went down yesterday, I was taking no chances. Doc says I'm not contagious; just in need of bedrest, fluids, and antibiotics. The good news is that I didn't have a reaction to the codeine, and the only side effect seems to be batshit crazy anxiety dreams, though that could just be sickness in general.

Agnes took the morning shift, Sarah the afternoon shift. I'm starting to get some color back, and I've had soup and lotsa Gatorade. Still hacking up a lung and hearing the rattle of fluid in there (which is why I am staying parked firmly on the couch for tomorrow's icy/snowy/sleety weather), but overall, there's some improvement. Plus, there's something about spending time with people who love you when you're sick that really speeds the whole process up. Thank you guys so much.

At this point, I'm guessing I'll probably be couch-bound until Sunday night. This means that I'm going to be missing about a gajillion social things I said I'd go to plus tribal night at the Palace of Wonders, but better safe than sorry, right?

In the meanwhile, packages have been piling up-- commission components and some of the prettiest gems I've purchased so far. A to die for strand of hessonite garnet briolettes. And I can't play with any of 'em right now, while I'm sick like this. I've contacted the couple of recent Etsy clients and told them upfront why their orders will be a little late, and so far everybody's been cool. Now to focus on healing up as fast as I can so I can end this inconvenient little life interruption.

Going to do my darndest to pass out right after Lost-- I already dozed for fifteen minutes or so, so that's a good sign. Wish me zzzzzs!
