Brain no worky.

Witness me easing back into my social schedule. Friday night, Ariel and I ran a bajillion errands before settling in to watch some movies. Elizabeth: The Golden Age was just crap. Crappity crap. And for me to say that something a) set during the Tudor dynasty and b) starring Cate Blanchett and Clive Owen was crap, you know it was a real stinker. I think they wrote Sir Walter Raleigh in just for the sake of including a pirate, I think. In the end, the story was weak and predictable, things that should have been made more clear for the sake of advancing the plot were not, and the artsy directing only muddied the waters. Plus it was so historically inaccurate that I kinda wanted to barf. Helen Mirren's version kicked this one's ass. We also watched sex, lies and videotape, which I really liked, but Ariel proclaimed the stupidest movie ever. I have a strange loyalty to James Spader. Fell asleep on the couch, which is at times the most comforting, fulfilling thing in the world.

Yesterday was dance class, a panoply of snafus that probably are the fault of Mercury being in retrograde, the Baltimore Tattoo Convention (apparently, getting zombies tattooed on your flesh for all eternity is really big right now), dinner with Bridget, then the Hippo with Ariel for youvebeenpixied's birthday. There was a pretty famous DJ spinning so the place was packed. Met someone who could only be described as the lovechild of Ricky Lizalde and Christian Siriano from Project Runway. Was groped repeatedly and told I was sooooo haaaaaawt by this adorable little gay boy who was mooning over the pretty blonde American Eagle-type he'd made out with earlier in the night. As a plus, it's an older crowd at the Hippo than at Grand Central, which means a) the drag queens are more fun and b) I didn't get my crotch grabbed even once. By the time I got home, I was so exhausted from dancing that I barely got the clothes off before I passed out cold.

This morning, I'm barely awake. I just want to go back to bed, but I don't want to waste the day. I think I'm going to toss myself in the bathtub with a book, then make myself a big brunch. I've got a few modifications to make to orders going out, most of which have been packed, and if I have any inspiration, I might make more shinies. But I've put in supply orders for the commissions that have been paid, and those should be completed by next week-ish. The days before it comes are kinda like downtime.

Okeydoke. Must move or I'm going to sleep again.
