Back from Break
I have no coherent thoughts, really. But the patchy ones, which will be expounded upon laterly:
- Mike and I are doing well. Things are mending themselves and I'm re-finding the hollow of his neck and enjoying quality time near the river at Harper's Ferry under a fog-swirled midnight sky.
- Re: Angel: "Orpheus"... Willow/Fred, baby. Death to Kennedy. That's the most chemistry I've ever seen Fred have with anyone, and it frees Gunn up for a reprise of Ho!Yay. And boy, I crossed myself when I saw Angel's 70's hair. I warded off the bad hair cooties.
- I did find a dress for the formal. Hoo, boy, did I find a dress. Halter neck with a deeeeeep V-neckline (read: nonexistant), pulled to the side with a square rhinestone, with a fishtail hem above the knee. Oh, yeah.
- I got my ears pierced again. Sleeping has not been comfy.
- I spent lots of time in the Inner Harbor this weekend. I miss home so much.
- I read my first book by Francesca Lia Block this week- Aster bought me Girl Goddess #9. I devoured the prose greedily and then rushed out to buy her book of retold fairy tales. I had been reluctant to read FLB's work before, as she is one of Ariel's favorite authors, and thinking of what has happened between us is always sad and somewhat uncomfortable. But the book won me over, and I'm rapidly becoming a fan.
- I've spent far too much time in front of CNN this week. Really, an unhealthy span of time- the war is seeping under my skin, and I've become rather numb, and throwing myself into frivolity to salvage myself.
- I saw Chicago. Viva Queen Latifah's breasts. Catherine Zeta-Jones was gold. I loved it. 'Nuff said.
- According to TheSpark.Com's purity test, I am 44% pure. 1% of test-takers were ass pure ((edit: I meant as pure, but I have sticky fingers. I shall let this poignant typo stand.)) as me, 85% were more pure than me, and only 14%of all people who took that test were less pure than me. I am astounded.
To bed I go... lots of work to be done this week. I must answer emails as well, and I will update as I can.
