LJ is being ridiculous again. Seriously? The fact that now any Joe Shmoe can flag your journal for (subjectively) offensive and/or illegal content but LJ Abuse is still notoriously slow and ineffective just speaks to the marathon of massive fail that LJ continues to output.
For the record, I'm temporarily leaving my journal rating at "No Adult Content," which is total bullshit, but I don't think anyone should be prevented from seeing my public entries (or anyone else's). Yes, my journal occasionally includes explicit adult content (usually locked away on my sexuality filter, but I have been known to use strong language), but it is not my job self-censor, to parent other peoples' children, or to say who can or can't handle adult content in my public entries. That's a personal choice, and/or the responsibility of a minor's parent/guardian. At least that bit of nonsense is voluntary, but LJ "Safe Search" settings had been reset to "moderate filtering," completely involutarily. So i've also changed my my search results options back to fully unfiltered. I don't need a fucking net nanny, thanks.
