Zzzzzzzzzz.
Virgo:: Because of changes in agricultural techniques, food is nowhere near as nutritious as it used to be. Vegetables grown on modern factory farms have 27 percent less calcium and 37 percent less iron than they did in 1975, for example, as well as 21 percent less Vitamin A and 30 percent less Vitamin C. So if you want to avoid being starved of essential nutrients, you either have to eat a huge amount, take supplements, or consume organic food. Are there any other areas of your life where the sustenance levels have dropped, perhaps without your full awareness? Is there an activity that no longer provides you with the boost it used to? Your assignment is to explore this possibility. If you find something's lacking, take immediate measures to make up for what you've been missing.
Yes, universe. I get it. I'll sleep soon, I promise. Right now, I have something of an embarrassment of riches: my social life is so packed that I've had very little rest and restoration time. On the one hand, I'm having a fantastic time. On the other, I'm starting to get a little worn out. Still, I recognize that if that's essentially my biggest complaint at the moment, I'm pretty much batting .950 and so I'll rejoice. I have had a surfeit of dancing, friendships, flirting, dating, self-renovation, good food, good music, good times, and this looks to continue for the indefinite future. I hereby label November 2007 as "the month of win," and I have many things for which to be thankful for this year. Just yes... I'm going to take the weekend after Christmas and not get out of my pajamas, scout's honor. I'm going to read and relax and generally revel in boredom. Promise.
Last night's dance class was very challenging. Atef made us do ballet again. My arabesque needs work. But it really did force me to focus on my hands and arms-- and he said he wanted to continue teaching me, so I might seek him out for private or small group lessons after the holidays. Due to the language barrier, it was initially very hard for me to adapt to his teaching style. I am someone who often needs things verbally broken down so I know which muscles I'm supposed to be contracting, etc. But his love of dance and grace really does come through once you're used to his pacing and terminology. I definitely learned a fair bit during my time in his class.
I will be essentially gone from 8pm tonight until about 11pm Sunday night. LJ withdrawals, o noes. But! My weekend will be full of turkey, pie, sushi, margaritas, Macy's Parade on TV, reading smut on the bus, NYC, ninjas, Shaun, Jenny, and a ginormous Texan. Woot!
ETA: How much would I have killed to be at this party? Gorgeous. Any fantastically wealthy Parisian costumed socialites want to adopt or hire me for such a thing, pretty please? :)
