Makeup-fu follow-up notes.
For those of you at the makeup party who wanted to know some of the products, I used, here you go!
Lorac Greatest Hits 1 (Warm):: The cd-like palette with the full-face setup for everyday wear. Here is the cool version.
Lorac Snake Charmer Palette::
neopolaris, this is what I used on you. It was LE, which means you can't buy it directly from Lorac or Sephora anymore, but you can still find it online. As a side note, you'd also look good in this palette-- Too Faced New Romantic Collection: Unicorn.
Urban Decay Wallpaper Shadow Box:: This is a good mix of neutrals and party colors. The two purples I used on Sarah came from here-- Asphyxia and Last Call. Be forewarned that about half these colors contain some fine glitter, and if you're not a glitter person, this one probably isn't for you.
Party eyes, like I did on Agnes:: I used a Pixi kit, which imho was far too expensive for what I ended up getting. Comparable kits that are also fun include-- Stila Smoky Eye Kit in Emerald, Urban Decay Urban Ammo Kit, or Sheisedo quad in Flora and Fauna (actually, I love all the Sheisedo quads and covet many of them). I've never used Hard Candy, but they have a lot of fun party eye look quads, and also Sephora Brand.
Urban Decay Primer Potion:: the no-crease eyeshadow primer wonder thingy I cannot live without.
Sephora Brand Brush Kit:: For those of you who want good brushes, here's a great starter kit.
Stila Eyeshadow in Kitten:: The highlighter eyeshadow color-- the one that I love and cannot live without.
BeneFit Realness of Concealness:: Really good concealer touch-up kit, just throw out the crappy "lip plumper" thing.
BeneFit Moon Beam:: The luminizer stuff I put on everybody's cheekbones.
Tarte Lipgloss Duo:: The double-ended moisturizing gloss wands. NARS also makes a stain and gloss duo if you want something with a little more color and staying power.
Smashbox Photo Finish Lipstick:: The one I have is a blush pink, but the satiny finish makes for a really classy lip in general.
MAC lip pencil in Mahogany:: The pencil I have that is good under lipstick or alone under gloss.tamnonlinear, this is the perfect color for you.
MAC lipstick in Dubonnet (amplified creme):: Best classy red lipcolor ever!
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Blush in Cloud Wine:: the plum cheek stuff I used. Also your color, Abby!
And now, because I had to go searching for all of those links, I currently covet: Sephora Brand Colorful Story Palette and Vincent Longo quads. Plus a whole crapload of the pretty pretty NARS eyeshadow duos.

In other girl-fu news: I got a haircut-- it's about 2" shorter, with chunky layers in it to give it some body. The lady at the salon was not pleased with my pre-cut hair at all and ordered me to use a hydrating conditioner and to get more than two trims a year. I also bought some really cute panties and a sexy purple bustier top, and figured out that sweaterdresses look oddly cute on me, so when I find the right one, I should buy it. I had my hair played with by very talented ladies, who used hairsticks to give me a vintage 40's lounge siren look that I will now struggle to replicate, because it was hot. Overall, this weekend continued my streak of win.
