Hafla Pics!
I had LOADS of fun at Kallisti Tribal's Bastille Day Inappropriate Hafla. There was dancing-- "The Safety Dance," Tenacious D, Odes to Cheeseburgers, Beyonce-- Flissy and I danced to Bjork. It was wacky and good fun. My only regret was that I had to run to DC, thus missing both Naimah and Asharah. Ariel got good video of Naimah's sword dance, so that's some consolation. All in all, things went pretty well. I didn't even get the jitters that bad-- I was more focused on remembering what choreographed moves went in which spots (the whole first part was improv, the second part was planned out). But I heard positive noises, and that's exciting and relieving. It was a good first non-class performance.
