That BPAL meme that's making the rounds
1. My First True BPAL Love was: Titania. Sparkling champagne grape and pear. It was beautiful and exotic all at once.
2. My First OMGTHISISAMAZING BPAL Love was: The first time I smelled Snake Oil (I eBayed a bottle, unsniffed), I knew I was completely done for and might as well just hand my checkbook to the Lab.
3. My Essential, Daily BPAL ‘Signature Scent’ I cannot live without: It used to be The Lion, but now I wear Litha quite a lot.
4. My Essential OMGTHISISSOME!!! BPAL ‘Signature Scent’ that makes me feel sexy: Madmoiselle Moriarty, Misfortune Teller.
5. The BPAL scent that makes me feel like I can tackle ANYthing!: Hungry Ghost Moon. It's fresh and light with just the right amount of candied sweet and salty wood. Aizen Myoo is a close runner-up.
6. The BPAL scent that makes me really, really happy: Aglaea. It's just so gosh darn pretty and feminine.
7. The BPAL scent I never expected to fall in love with—but did!: Snow White. I expected it to be plastic and lily stank, but to my surprise, it turned into some kinda just-can't-put-my-finger-on-it lovely.
8. The BPAL scent that turned into an unholy stench with my skin chemistry: Voodoo. Or Baron Samedi. Both were distinctly grave-stank when they touched my skin. Also? Delphi. Bleeeach.
9. The person who inspired this insanity in me when they talked about BPAL:
faerishimmer, before we were even friends! I was surfing friendsfriends, and I came across her post about her order. I was intrigued.
10. The person who first enabled me:
belladonnastrap was my first BPAL fairy.
11. How long I’ve been Mad About BPAL: Junior year of college, so... nearing 4 years?
12. If price and availability were NO OBJECT, which BPAL would you BATHE in?: I would mix Snake Oil and Mme. Moriarty.
13. What is the one thing you have to tell EVERYONE about BPAL?: Everyone's skin chemistry is different, and since Beth doesn't use stinky alcohol bases, it takes a little bit to figure out what works and what doesn't work. Don't get discouraged if your first order only has one or two hits-- you can always swap on the boards or LJ comms.
Also, I found my headpiece maker! I'm ordering a floral spray from Aonochi of Yorokonde Art in about two weeks. She was super-easy to talk with, and has reasonable pricing/turnaround. I'm getting something similar to this with deep red flowers. One on either side of my head, and a headband in the middle. I am, however, totally lusting over this one, too, and I can totally see myself owning that one in the future, as well.
