Bleh.

Tonight, I need to bleach my roots and re-pink them. I've got a half-inch brown skunk stripe, and that ain't cute. I'm not in the mood to fuss with dye right now, either. Not at all. Also, I love having pink hair. Really, I do. However, I'm gonna do another color mid-August, 'cause I don't want pink for RenFest, and it pink matches virtually nothing in my fall wardrobe. So I think it's back to my usual red. Still deciding on the shade. Definitely something vibrant and rich. Joyleaf, besides being one of the most gorgeous women I have ever laid eyes on, is giving me a major case of hair envy. I'm trying to figure out how to get a similar shade-- I have a box of Garnier Nutrisse laying around that I never used, or I could go the Manic Panic route and get a really saturated red-burgundy. I don't know. I love the vibrancy that MP gives me, but I don't like the way it colors anything my wet hair touches. I don't really want to do henna, as I don't want orange-tinted this time around. Decisions.

Rehearsal last night was so-so. On one hand, we got through everything twice, and now just have to pound the sequencing in so we can do it without thinking. On the other, the combination of vacation + heat threw me seriously off my game. Stop, start. Try to figure out what we'd decided on, give up, decide on something else. Stop, start. But we ended okay, now it's just time to drill it.

On the costuming front, I'm going to get the red belt from Scarlet's Lounge and modify it. I love the back of it. It's so unique. However, the front isn't really what I want. I want something with marker on the hips-- discs, miao earrings, something less bulky than a panel straight across. Also, fringe in the front, but that's easy enough to do on my own. This will require sewing skillz. I must develop some.

I need to find some downtime, and soon. I've been so busy lately that I don't have a lot of time to just chill. I officially designate next week "chill out" week.
