Pikeapalooza.

Man. I am sleepwalking today. I stayed up just a wee bit too late last night, working on commissions and then making some tv-and-cuddle-time for Sky. We watched "Lineage" from Angel's season five, and I can never get over that thing that happens nine times, which replaced slow-mo-Wes-against-The-Beast-with-two-handguns-and-a-shotgun as my favorite Wes-with-firearms moment.

Anyway, I'm not so much using my higher brain functions today. Which should be fabulous come rehearsal time, let me tell you.

But. I've been on a total nostalgia kick. While I was looking for plane reading, I found some of my old Christopher Pike books, and I just knew it was time for a re-read. So I read through The Midnight Club and half of Master of Murder. Then Sara told me about how her husband's used bookstore has almost the entire Pike collection for $2 a pop... yeah. It's brain candy. Looking back, the quality of writing isn't so great. But the plots are still interesting, and there's still self-aware (and occasionally self-mocking) wording, and for God's sake, I grew up reading this stuff. I'm about thisclose to re-purchasing the Remember Me series. Or Scavenger Hunt-- damn, that one was creepy!
