Planning that San Francisco / Palo Alto trip

So, it's in stone. I'll be going to Palo Alto/San Francisco July 1 - 7. This is largely a family-oriented trip (well, Sky's family), and free wandering around SF will be limited. We also plan to see the beach and the Redwood Forest and eat at the Stinking Rose, so that'll be good. A few of you have expressed interest in meeting up/hanging out while I'm Bay-area bound. I know I'll be making time for Joy. But kita0610, dakinigrl, lm, dollbite? My plan is this-- as far in advance as I know, I'll post where I'll be and when. Believe me, it is not hard to spot a girl with bright pink hair. Or you can call my cell, or give me your phone numbers, or what have you. I'm trying to do this efficiently so I can meet people that I luuurve, but also make sure I'm completely present for the purpose of my being in SF-- family. But there's usually time for coffee, if we schedule it right. As it gets closer and we plan, I'll give as much detail as I'm able.

Now, for my big stress: paying for it. Sky's being really generous, but I'd like to contribute as much as I'm able, 'cause plane tickets and a week-long hotel stay ain't cheap. And having about $150 spending money wouldn't hurt, either. So I need to make a few hundred in the next few weeks, 'cause this thing hit me fairly short-notice, and I had/have less than a month to throw together the money. On the plus, we're getting round-trip tickets for under $400. Go Skyler's Google-fu.

Plan of attack:

1. Finish commissions tonight. I have two that I have all the components for-- Psyche and Eve. Both of which are paid up, so I can send them by the end of the week. I will have all the pieces for the Brisingamen collar by next week, hopefully, so there's that, too.

2. Make earrings and hairsticks. Small, affordable things do add up. And I now have gorgeous earring components that look like gold butterfly wings! And if you want a commission, now's the time to ask for it!

3. Any leftover time will be spent crafting one-of-a-kind necklaces. I have lots of fun focal pieces to work with-- a bone-carved seahorse, opalite, agate leaves, semi-precious donut-stones, more abalone... plus I want to do a pearl and Venetian glass seed bead strand set. These can be sold either through my journal or possibly at the upcoming hafla.

3. BPAL rares sale. I've hung on to some super-rares for a long time simply to sniff. And I can sniff a half-imp just as well as a full one. So they're getting split in half, and I'm decanting some of my rares and TALs. Look for these: Noir, Blue Moon (original version), Lughnasadh, Mabon, Glamour, Charisma, Lionheart, Blockbuster, Arabian Nights, Nine Muses, various Lunacies & past LE's. And maybe, just maybe, a sniffie of Pumpkin King and past Convergence exclusives. I ordered the pipettes, so if I can figure out this whole eBay thing, I'll have an auction up next week.

Busy, busy, BUSY. I will have my nose to the grindstone and my fingers always busy for the next month. So yeah, I'm stressin' in a big way. I know it will work out, but hey-- Virgo here! Just want to make sure I'm completely covered.

Also-- If you have bought jewelry from me, I'd LOVE if you could send me pictures of you wearing my creations. I'd love to start a customer gallery.

In other news, I just answered the phone, and the guy on the other end had a British accent. And his name was Spike. Am vaguely nervous. :)

Will update later on a AWESOME care package I got last night and dinner with Bart & Brandie later in the day.
