BPAL Update!
Buying Blue Moon, for sure. But there are more... and they all sound nice! MidSummer Night's Dream fans, take note.
THUNDER MOON:: This is the scent of a summer storm: thick black clouds pass over this full moon, the Goddess roars, and Her Beloved hurls his forked bolts of lightning in the distant sky. Ozone deepened by liquid amber, and a spray of hot nighttime rain mingled with the scent of lightning-struck wood, water-soaked summer blooms, and sun-scorched grass.
Sounds awesome. Not so sure it'll work on me as a perfume, but I'd definitely try a decant. ETA: Imp bought via decant circle.
SELKIE:: The chill waters of the Orkney coast, tea-leaved willow, honey-touched Grass-of-Parnassus, sea aster, and Scottish Primrose.
AAAAH. The faerie lover in me says YES. The person who doesn't want to smell, well, drowned... says no. ETA: Imp bought via decant circle.
HELENA:: Rose amber, calla lily, night-blooming jasmine, water lily, and white rose.
Pretty. Maybe an imp, despite the dreaded lily.
HERMIA:: Pink pepper, golden amber, honeysuckle, and passion flower.
Even better! An imp for sure! ETA: Imp ordered.
LYSANDER:: Lilac musk, tonka, wood violet, and urbane lime rind, with a Venus-kissed tangle of myrtle, blackberry leaf, and benzoin.
Meh.
ROBIN GOODFELLOW:: Dark musk, moss-covered wood, ragwort, heather, and sage.
Sounds better than Puck, at any rate. That smelled like sweaty ass. Damned civet. Hmm. Snagging an imp of this for Sky. ETA: Imp ordered.
Things are going successfully with the jewelry-making. I sold nearly everything in my last post. I'm suprised Venus didn't go-- it's my favorite of that group. Ah well. I'll be selling here and there and everywhere for the next few months, and I already sold well beyond what I'd expected. I can afford my Melodias, and dreads! I'm even swimming in commissions at the moment. Psyche, Bast, Eve, & Brisingamen are all in the research phase for lovely ladies who have requested them. I'm working on a few other replications and custom bits, too. It's exciting!
And thank God LJ decided to finally talk about the mass deletions. I'm none too pleased with Barak after the CNet fiasco, but an acknowledgement, apology, and pledge to fix things is at least a start. Man, did they lose some bank on the permanent account sale.
And finally-- I'm in the early stages of planning a group outing (or getting in on one) to DC Pride on 6/9. Anybody going or want to come?
