Eeeee! It is Friday! And I'm Hyper!
And I am short on brains, so... list post.
1. PIXIE STIX. I have many. Be forewarned. Abby has seen the effect that Pixie Stix have on pink-haired girls. It goes like this: BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE.
2. I seem to be experiencing a second teenager-hood. Or a first, since I didn't really have much of one when I actually was a teen. I was a book nerd with no interest in socializing whatsoever. Not to mention very stuffily and sometimes sanctimoniously Christian. So now? Whee. Shiny. Sparkly. Glitter. Gimme.
3. Along this vein, Abby and I went to the Forget Me Not Factory last night, and that place... I could get lost. Really. I could spend the better part of a day cooing at all the odd dolls and trinkets and vintage bits and bobs. It really is like fairyland. Three floors of total wonderment, and it's all for sale. I love that place and am so glad to have it so close to home.
4. Bellydance KICKED MY ASS last night.
5. My Red Camel mirror belt came in the mail. It's smaller than I'd thought, which means I may need to layer it over another jingly chain. On the other hand, though-- it's really beautiful!
6. Hummus + gazpacho + pita = nature's perfect warm weather meal.
7. Swing Dancing tonight! Shades of Blue at the Boumi Temple. Come one, come all. It's fun!
8. Balticon tomorrow.
9. Reading Sabriel by Garth Nix. He's a good writer, but I'm not sure high fantasy is my thing. I much more prefer mythopoeic speculative fiction that takes place in our physical reality. Dune notwithstanding.
10. Jewelry going on sale this weekend. Probably Saturday night/Sunday morning. There will be a few non-Goddess line necklaces and a few pairs of earrings. The Goddess line will range $20 - $40, depending on materials. Goddesses to be presented:
All proceeds going to the "buy Christina extravagant bellydance gear" fund. And yes, I'll take pictures. How's that for an incentive?
11. Over 21,000 people have visited my journal. How crazy is that?
