Raining in Baltimore

Kind of a bleh day. Not going dancing tonight, as Sky's been sick, and he's not quite ready to chance it. That's fine by me, as I haven't spent one night at home since last Saturday, and am in dire need of doing laundry. Don't know what's been making me so homebody-ish of late, but pretty much all I've wanted to do is drink tea, eat comfort food, and cuddle. I'm attempting to break out of it this weekend, going to meet Ty & Roddy for brunch in DC, and then Tribal Cafe with Abby and Flissy.

But tomorrow is my cleaning and catch-up day. I'm putting the finishing touches on a care package for Joy, mailing out belated birthday stuff, sending jewelry packages, and reading a book in the bath. I need a "leave me the hell alone" day. Which, note to self, buy more bath bombs, 'cause I'm down to two. Monday night after meeting raspberrypie for coffee, I'll also likely be in homebody mode, squeeing over my Shipwreck order (note to self: buy another organizer!) and starting on several shell necklaces.

Last night was chilling with Sky and Agnes-- Agnes made awesome tortellini, butternut squash soup, and sauteed spinach greens. Supernatural was pretty good (as I wasn't a big fan of last week's, what with the inconsistent characterization and fugly snake-eyed chick), and there was lots of fun Dean action. It garnered the Christina seal of approval.

In the realm of books, I'm gonna read Ironside by Holly Black next-- it's exciting to have a new book by one of my favorite YA authors. I might re-read Tithe first, 'since it's been awhile, just to get reaquainted with the characters.

Scent of the day is Ava Luxe's Dark Amber, which I find even yummier than Golden Amber. There's a real gooey sweetness to this one-- so much so, that it takes on subtle chocolatey overtones. It's garnered lots of comments-- everything from "mmmm" to "damn, smells like sex in here." So, all in all, good. I may well buy a 5ml-- it's just that good.
