Teef.
I have the slowest wisdom teeth ever. My first wisdom tooth (bottom right) started coming in at the beginning of my freshman year of college. It was soon followed by the upper right. They took about three months apiece to actually break through the gum and settle in.
Insert a five year interim.
My upper right broke through the skin about two months ago and is about halfway through. My lower right is poking right now, straining to break through the gum.
When my first wisdom tooth started poking though, I booked a dentist's appointment. He did his x-ray thing and when asked if I would have to have them removed, replied, "no. You've got plenty of room there. You'll just be in pain for a really long time." You know? He was right.
