Brrrrr.
Jesus, it's cold. I betcha Frosty the Snowman is home knitting a sweater. Seriously, I don't understand how it goes from a beautiful, seventy-degree spring night to the dead of freakin' winter over the course of four days, but in Maryland, it does.
Went to Sea Chanty Sing last night. I usually don't eat fish, because I've never liked fish, but last night, I decided to try something new. I got the Mediterranean-style pan seared Snapper, and wonder of wonders, it was damn good, especially paired with a nice Riesling. I'm also trying this thing where I'm playing nice with white wine-- I even bought a Gewurtstraminer this weekend. I like them slightly sweet, nice and wet. Maybe even a little chilled, depending.
Tonight, Anna and I are going to do quick food before she learns to contra dance. The ANTM finale is tonight, and as much as I'm ashamed to say that I've been watching-- go team CariDee. Ahh, mindless entertainment. Though in the realm of non-mindless entertainment, I have a ton of book reviews to post. I finished Fragile Things and Agyar and a bunch of other things, and I'm halfway through the third Kushiel's book, which I put down a few months ago and just found again under my bed. Other than that, I want to get a copy of The Other Boleyn Girl before the movie comes out, because I like Renaissance alternate history.
Also on the docket for tonight? Bath. Warm cinnamon-y bath. Bath and finishing holiday cards and letters. I need some me-time in a big way. I've been ridiculously social this year, and my attention span is paying for it dearly.
