Grr Arrgh.
I got a haircut this weekend. It's subtle, but cute. Mostly, I wanted the dead ends cut off and some layers re-established, so all in all it's about two inches shorter. Which is still pretty long for me, anyway-- my hair now comes down about two inches below my shoulders. I also had some side bangs put in, but they're versatile enough to be swept back.
I tried lightening my hair with a blonde to do the pink, but the result was not blonde. It's a light, natural-looking coppery shade. Pretty. But not light enough (or cool-toned enough) to put pink over, unfortunately. I have purchased pink dye, and now I'm going to wait two weeks and condition the hell out of my hair before putting some 10% bleach over my hair to lighten it a little more and kill some of the red tone. Awesomeness takes patience.
In other news, it occurred to me that I haven't placed a BPAL order in almost four months. My last order was for the Halloweenies. I passed up on Order of the Dragon and the Yules becaus I waited on Dragon reviews and found nothing I absolutely had to have (though I might still do a decant of Willhemina Murray), and the Yules all sounded pretty similar, and Snow Moon is the most gorgeous wintery scent I could ever hope to own, anyway. Maybe I'll change my mind if I do a meet-n-sniff or something, because I was curious about a few of them, but not to the point where I felt I had to buy them until I read reviews. And a lot of the reviews are "Skadi-like" or make comparisons to other scents that I already own.
That said, yay, Shub Niggurath is back! I can wear it more often, since I don't have to hoard. And we get Blue Moon in a few months! And there are actually a few Salons that look good to me (well, there were before, but I haven't been willing to spend $25 for something I might like, nor a chunk on an imp set when I only wanted to try one or two). The Cup of Death looks just fabulous, as I love peach blossom in the springtime, and Judith Victorious looks really intriguing. Anyway.
Back to work. I've got a case of the Mondays.
