So. Temptation and Beauty doesn't look like it's going to be too bad of a class. We talk about gender roles and watch movies. Yada yada yada. I think I confused everyone today when I went on a three minute spiel about the Madonna/Whore syndrome when the professor asked if there is a double standard when it comes to men, women, and sex. But some of the movies are cool- I'll finally get to see Strictly Ballroom, and I get to see Requiem for a Dream again.
But still, I'd rather be in Tai Chi. Heather has no papers to write, and gets to learn cool postures, like one called "step back and repulse the monkey." Sounds kinda kinky, if you ask me. :)
I was on duty tonight, which was rather uneventful except for one asshole who kept harrassing me because he locked himself out, but he didn't want to pay the mandatory $5 fee to get back in his room (the school charges after the second lockout). I would have let him back in for free if he hadn't been such a jerk and ripped up the paperwork. So. He found some other way in after I told him to either fill out the paperwork or get out of my goddamn office. I hate stupid people.
Class tomorrow, then more unpacking. I should watch a movie while unpacking. That always makes cleaning more enjoyable. My room's just plain cluttered, so Heather and I are going to Walmart tomorrow so I can get another storage unit. I will then wash and vacuum... put up my crystal chess set and maybe do a little decorating to make myself feel at home again.
Damn you, Michael. Pick up your phone. Boy has cellphone. Boy never picks it up. Dumb boy.
On a funny note, Heather and Rachael showed me pics they'd taken, including one of me unrapping the Gigantic Legolas of Doom (TM) that I got from Noble. In the picture, because of the angle, it looks startlingly as if Legolas is standing next to me. If I photoshop out a slight glare, it'd make one funny as hell icon. But on the plus side, the lovely Saava did a good googly moogly amount of screencapping, and I will be debuting an icon of Legolas lusting after Aragorn. Boon companions, my arse. :)
It's 1:10. I should shower and sleep. I swear, one of these days I will write something insightful and meaningful. Those entries are usually reseverd for pen and cream paper, the medium in which I'm most at home. But still, I wish my electronic entries were more than the drabble they usually amount to.
