Retail!
Ugh. I woke up late this morning. As a result, I'm wearing jeans, one of Skyler's shirts, green socks, and blue Waldies. Yeah. It's that kind of morning. I plan on brushing my hair as soon as I finish my morning cuppa.
I've been daydreaming about the things that I want to buy when I get paid again. This is a result of having $60 in my bank account, a week and a half until my next paycheck, and not having bought anything non-essential that cost more than $10 in the last month and a half. Still, I keep reminding myself that a) all of my bills are paid, and b) not only does this new job pay better, but it has the added bonus of being totally Teresa-free. So, to pass the time, I'm daydreaming of pretty shiny things.
I am getting myself a new dress next Friday. It's big band night at FNS, and I want something pretty and flowy, because I haven't bought a new dance dress since... well, it's been awhile. A long while. And Macy's has really cute stuff on their website.
I am also going to get more socks from Sock-Dreams.com. I need more chenille socks and kneesocks, 'cause it's getting cold here, yo. I really like that site. They have good prices, a wide range of styles, and best of all, free, fast shipping domestically. I didn't even care about socks before, and now I'm totally obsessed.
I need some new makeup. I haven't bought anything new in a long time, and my favorites are almost gone. My Urban Decay X Shadow broke about three weeks ago, and I've been carefully using the crumblies. It's sad, man. I've been browsing Sephora for fun stuff, and I did find on absolute must-have-- Stila's Night Flower Pallette. Usually, I get a pallette and use one or two colors until they're gone, and still have full slots of the ugly blue that was for some reason included. But no, I could conceivably wear every color in this pallette. Miracle of miracles!
And Lush just came out with Christmas goodies. I haven't really been on a huge Lush kick since I found Fantasy Bath, which is cheaper, faster, and more densely scented. I do have some favorites that I love from Lush, though. I love Avobath and Flosty Gritter bubblebar, and every winter, I stock up on Jingle Spells, which was my first Lush bath bomb and still to this day my favorite. Of the new Christmas stuff, the Bling Crosby bubble bar looks fun, 'cause I love sparkly baths, but it's all Karma scented. Ew. The Holiday Bubble Bar looks really good too, even though it's not Ruby Red Slippers, which I was really hoping would come back this year. Alas, alack. And I never got to try Christmas kisses, so that could be fun. So... shiny.
Anyhow, those are the retail compulsions of the day. Is it Nov. 3rd yet?
