Continuing adulthood.
So, I went over my banking and budget to adjust my bill pay schedule to the new job. Things are going to be just-eeking-it-out tight until Nov. 3rd (my next paycheck), but that's only because I went and paid all of my bills for the month in advance, since I didn't know how long I would be out of a job when I quit my last one. As it turns out, my next paycheck is almost one month to the day of my last one. Considering I was only technically out of work for one week, that sounds funny, but the timing just happened to work out strangely.
Still, while I'm not so happy about my credit card balance, I'm gonna make it through okay, and the increase in pay should help me stabilize really quickly, with a little room to spare. I'll probably be kind of cheap this Christmas to avoid putting anything else on a credit card, but all things considered, by this time next year, all debts except for student loan debts will be paid off, and huzzah for that.
Adulthood, man. It's such a weird mix of fretting and pride. :)
