Yay! It's raining!
I love today's weather. Drizzly, overcast, a chill in the air. It's so welcome after weeks and weeks of hot sun. The air genuinely smells like fall.
I've been dressing the part-- yesterday was a big, floaty, pumpkin-orange skirt, today, a red and yellow printed skirt and an orange sweater. Combine this with a pumpkin spice latte and BPAL's Pumpkin Patch #1 oil, which smells like spiced orchard apples, and I am in absolute heaven.
I just wish I could've snuggled in later. I slept with the windows open so I could hear the rain pattering on the sill, and the chill breeze felt perfect as I drew the coverlet around me. The light was a pale grey-- perfect. Perfect. I wish I were still in bed.
Busy schedule this weekend.
On a funny note, the bird bit me two days ago as I gave her her evening meal. Just latched onto my right index finger and held on when I drew back. That is, until she realized that she was five feet in the air and no longer on her cage, at which point she let go-- and sailed in a perfect arc, straight into the trash can. She was perfectly unharmed, but I wish I could say the same for my finger.

Busy schedule this weekend.
Tonight: Get off work. Eat dinner with Agnes and her friends. Goth clubbing @ The Black Cat in DC. Crashing at Agnes' parents' house. And I've still not yet seen Snakes On A Plane. I'm going to be basically poor until my next paycheck, so anybody want to see it with me next Friday night? The Fabulettes are playing Friday Night Swing that night, and they've never been my favorite.
Saturday: Return home around noon. Nap. Shower. Driving lesson with Abby because I suck at parking. Swing dancing @ Glen Echo.
Sunday: Sleep in a little, because I'll be dead tired by then. Possibly reading in the bathtub, because I'm in the homestretch of Kushiel's Chosen. Dinner at my parents' house, where I'm spending the night.
Monday: Driving lesson at 7am. Home. Nap, because doubtless I won't have gotten much sleep the night before. Seeing Skyler at some point in the early evening, because by that point, he'll be back from Switzerland.
