Bits and bobs.
-- I had a dream last night that Yancy was my boss. It was very odd.
-- My bosses are on vacation the week after next. I may take a day off to quietly job-search. The morale is crap here at the office, what with our daily verbal floggings and all. I think we're all just about fed up.
-- I hope today proceeds twice as quickly as yesterday, or I very well may wither and die at my desk.
-- My mother goes in for surgery in less than three hours. She's very nervous. I'm very nervous. It's all very nervous-making.
-- I'm going driving tomorrow on Reisterstown Road, home of the crazy drivers and many stoplights. Sunday, possibly the beltway. Help me, I might faint.
-- To counteract all of the nerves, tonight, I am going to read in the tub, cook breakfast for dinner, and watch period flicks in my pajamas. I need me-time.
-- The weather continues to be absolutely fucking gorgeous.
-- Note to self-- buy Andrea a birthday gift, buy last part of care package swap.
-- I also need to get a cheap tiered skirt and maybe a choli top for bellydance class. It helps if one can actually see her belly to bellydance, you see.
-- OMG I must have this shirt.
-- The new bellydance teacher is much more technique oriented, which means we're more or less going to get rock-solid on the basics. This means no flashy moves anytime soon, but at least I'll learn a proper shimmy.
-- Saw Alex at the Avalon last night! That was unexpected.
-- BPAL of the day--
Jack:: The scent of warm, glowing Jack O'lanterns on a warm autumn night: true Halloween pumpkin, spiced with nutmeg, glowing peach and murky clove.
Yay. I no longer smell like a haunted pineapple, which is what Jack had been on me before. I let my imp settle, and tried it out again. I get mostly sweetened spices, a little bit of pumpkin, and a warm, almost pomander-like peach. The drydown smells very much like FeMaledictions' Witchy Sweets, which I'm out of. So, in other words, mmmmm.
