Mum's the word.
The Black Phoenix lunar scents are now up for 3 days, rather than just one. Whee. This month's offering--
Chrysanthemum Moon:: A sensual incense of crushed mums, red ginger, and pulsing musk.
Early gossip says it's like Snake Oil, and ordinarily, I'd jump to buy a bottle. It's just that I've been trying to be good about money lately, and I haven't even placed a Carnaval Diabolique order yet. In fact, until reviews come in, I'm only likely to get a few Samhain blends when they come out. New ones, because I already have the better part of a 5ml of almost every Halloween blend that worked on me, anyhow. So I'm stuck. I think I might buy a decant of Chrysanthemum Moon from someone, or swap a bottle if it sounds particularly good when the reviews come out. I already have a lot of red, musky scents (Scherezade, Blood Moon, Spellbound), and so unless this is particularly different, I don't really need it. (I'm trying to be good, can you tell?)
I have to get my stuff together to see what can be sold off. I have a pretty much untouched bottle of Budding Moon that is gorgeous, but I always reach for peach blossom over plum blossom. I have a bottle of Pink Phoenix that I've worn maybe twice. Etc.
I am very pleased at my scent for today, though.
Harlot:: Based on a Romany incense blend reputed to induce sexual dreams: Somalian rose, Moroccan rose and Bulgar rose with a sultry dribble of cinnamon.
Spicy tea tose, both innocent and a little sassy. A good daytime scent if you like a little warmth to your scent.
The full moon is coming tomorrow, just in time for the moonflowers on our front porch to bloom. Hopefully, I can get a good picture of them before they go away. They're growing right next to the purple morning glories-- how interesting is that?
And, concerning, my new draw of the winged insects-- last night, before I turned out the light, I saw a tiny, delicate grass-green lattice-winged moth of some sort perched atop my silver curtainrod, like it was keeping watch.
